Latency issues in this game - Prime time fights unplayable (please fix)

I'm not sure what Zenimax is doing, but the lack of PVP fixes in terms of latency is slowly killing this game. It's night unto impossible to play in prime time fights, and we want to play in those. We want huge, three way fights on a keep that are playable. But they aren't. We can't weapon swap. We can't lay down siege, we can't use skills at all, even if they manage to cast, and we have to simply out aoe/heal the enemy until the server catches up.

The PVP in this game is a joke.

So why isn't the lag, and the server capacity, Zeni's priority?

The PVE content is all well and good, but there is a whole market that they aren't catering to - in a game where they claimed PVP was marketed as the 'endgame'.

Myself and my guild are reaching breaking point. It's going to come to a stage where we just don't play during primetime, and that'll just cause a shift to another primetime.

We want the big fights. We want the mass-scale open field and keep based fights. But we can't. Please, Zeni, fix it.

I think many of us are beginning to think they have a clue as to how to fix it. Or perhaps their take on this is as long as players come back out to PvP again then the allure of Alliance War trumps the broken PvP experience they are delivering to us. Brian Wheeler can show the producer the login numbers and say things are just fine but we all know they aren't. It is almost an insult that they keep toying with the players' patience and loyalty to Alliance War. I think they owe us the same loyalty by delivering a better product.

I'm no server / networking or coding guru but this can't be good for business. Just imagine if this was how our banking, national defense or health care networks behaved - OMFG. We are paying customers but I'm beginning to wonder what we are paying for - seems like a great PvE experience with a pathetically broken PvP experience.

I just crashed while in a big battle in Cyrodiil and now I can't log in. So PvP has rendered me unable to use the product I am paying for, I can't even PvE because I can't log in to leave Cyrodiil. GG Zenimax

Yeah, the last few weeks have been very frustrating at prime time EST, and that is unfortunately my only time to play during the week.

The only skills that really work in this situation are pbaoes, and we already have enough of those going on, and they may even be contributing to the lag.

This needs attention. If ZOS doesn't know what is causing the lag that is one thing, as technical fixes can be frustrating. But I think they do know what is causing it and are either unwilling or unable to allocate the resources to fix it. That mindset needs to change. The imperial city is going to just another PvE zone if all your pvpers leave before it is released...even the promise of PvEer blood won't be enough to keep them playing a game that just doesn't work.
