    Oh that's nice, I see that this thread has been stealth anchored to the depths as new posts are not being updated on the alliance page. The 'most recent' post is listed as 6:54AM today, coincidentally the last post before ZOS replied to this thread. I've seen this happen to several other complaint threads before, touche.

    Most people are not leaving because of a troll camp, or the ability to troll camp. They are leaving because of a troll. Or maybe three, I can't speak for DC or EP. But in the failure's case, it's just him. You know who he is, you know what he does, and you know what he says, but you won't do anything to him.

    I worked for MonkeyQuest since alpha, and we lost that game largely for this reason. We didn't want to lose subscriptions, so we almost never froze users. We sent them message after message, but we didn't actually take any action against their account. Instead we changed the way the game worked, chat functions, weapon functions, etc. As a result, our game was filled with jerks, who did whatever they wanted. It was actually common for trolls to say things like "Report me, they won't do anything." And we wouldn't. We couldn't. We weren't allowed to.

    The atmosphere of the game degraded rapidly, so that each day at work became torture. We had almost no players and the ones that were left were so awful all I could think of was setting fire to the world to cleanse us of this filth.

    why don't you tell us which threads exactly are sunken 'righteously'?
    i miss banhammers, nice and straight forward..this is too much politik (why, in a gaming forum), and too much "politically correct" appearing, while in reality it is anything but..see 'sunken', ie NO, you don't get to highlight this or that issue

    is this too for my own good? Like say getting butt naked prior to being able to board a plane? Nevermind we had a juvenile last year was it, going through security anyway?

    i know you guys make your own policy, am asking why you deem this preferable. If i'm allowed to that is

    Placing a purchase requirement won't fix the issue, it'll just provide those who are higher than Rank 6 an option to sell them.

    FC need to have a rank requirement to place them, not purchase them. You need to prove yourself on the battle field before you have the privilege of placing an FC.

    I was unaware that you guys actively sunk threads. I am having a difficult time understanding why the capacity to "sink" threads exists when you have the ability to close threads. Sinking a thread just seems shady and sketchy. Is there an explanation that can be given about "thread sinking" that would help resolve the icky, sketchy feeling I have about the forums right now? (thanks Tristan. Explanation given here. Sketchy feeling resolved)

    It seems FCs are here to stay. So. Why not make the placement of FCs require three or four players to channel the item? One person owns the item as normal, but upon placement three additional players are required to channel the item sort of like a skyshard. This would at the very least require four trolls working in unison.

    Maybe put a six hour cool down on FCs. Or just make FCs a permanent defendable/attackable node that require A cost to activate, with a decay timer.

    Here is my suggestion...

    The main problem of troll camps is in battles with large number of casualties.

    On the death recap screen, put an option to vote for removing a selected troll camp. Once the remove-request count is 10+ within 2-3 minutes, that is the point where many "dead" players are waiting and agree it is a troll camp, and that camp should be removed.

    Only "dead" people votes count. And it is difficult to get 10 dead exploiters to remove a normal camp.

    Don't know if I agree, but it is an interesting idea. How about this? You have to be a member of a team of at least 4 players to place a forward camp.

    Yes, the troll could type "LFG" in zone chat, but at some point that player will be recognized as a troll and be ignored by most if not all group leaders.

    FCs are dumb and ruin the purpose of even having a large map with choke points. Just take them out.

    If your friends quit over troll camps in this game I wouldn't bother playing any other games with them... You got to be thin skinned to quit over something like that.     It's because this particular issue prevents people from playing the game.

    If I can't defend my keep because I can't res anywhere close to it, how is that playing the game? Should I just become a ganker like you because I'm unable to play any other way? *** you and *** that.

    ZOS needs to step up and implement a real change, and not next month but *** yesterday because at certain points of the day the game is simply unplayable.

    To be honest when one or two players can compromise the gaming experiences and enjoyment of the many through an "exploit of the game mechanics, albeit a pathetic poor game mechanic ZoS really effed up from the start with the implementation of FCs" then it an issue. Whether you find it "weaksauce" or not it affects the gaming experiences of many and thus is a major issue just like the intolerable lag we experience in Cyrodiil that has surely cost this game subs from PvPers. If troll camping is jeopardizing the thin ice this game is on as it is then it is an issue and I, like many, want FCs addressed and not just by a meager Rank 6 requirement. My guess is you haven't had troll camps impact a siege you were on to the point where it actually cost your alliance? Maybe a troll camp at one of your gate keeps blocking FC placement at a scroll temple when you've invested an hour in the defense of the scroll against overwhelming odds would show you the light :P. I think most, if not all, are fine winning and losing to opposing factions so-to-speak, but when a troll camp affects that winning or losing it cheapens that winning or losing and I think this is why so many are fed up with it and seriously considering unsubbing.

    Many of us want this game to carry on successfully for many years but if this is making players consider unsubbing then it is an issue. Even if small it represents another *** in the armor :(.

    A solution to this would be to allow us to burn friendly camps. Obviously not a one button press like for enemy camps to prevent accidents, maybe a "Are you sure you want to burn this Forward Camp?" text prompt.

    I think this is a good idea. Although it would still take someone away from the fighting to go burn the poorly placed camps.

    They should make Forward Camps bound on purchase. So people can't sell them. That would make people have to raise their own Alliance Points and Rank to even get one. And for the non vet campaign they should lower the rank required to buy a camp.

    Let me play devil's advocate and suggest a smaller map with no choke points as the solution to the FC problem.

    Can any guild leaders chime in on the idea of making camps Bind on Pickup? I have heard that some guilds designate one or two people as dedicated camp placers during siege battles and then multiple players buy camps and give them to these specific people for siege battles. The BOP solution would make that impossible even if it eventually forces the camp trolls to burn all of their AP over time (and it may be a long time if they have millions of AP).
