Ok so normally I wouldn't post about little kids that can't play, but this kid is outta control. In order to not violate the naming and shaming policy that ZoS seems to care so much about I wont disclose his full name. That being said there is a child who plays on AD faction for thornblade. He is lvl 10 and his name starts with AD and ends with failure. This kid openly jokes in chat as he places troll camps during prime time. He will set up camps by the lower bridge next to bloodmayne, by the town south of brindle, far to the west of faregyl and also way back up by the gates just coming out of the entrance bases.

He places these camps and then laughs about how " theres no way we can defend ash cause I just camp locked us" I would post this kids account name but again the naming and shaming would see me get in trouble. Just PM me and I can give it to you. Now I cant count the number of ppl that have reported this kid, I myself have reported him 4 times in the last 2 days. Nothing is being done about this. The kid actually claimed he was in No Mercy and when I told hovaling about this hova got pissed. I know that every faction is getting affected by ppl doing this crap. I have recently rolled a DC faction char and its only lvl 23 the small amount of time I have been able to spend on him pvping I have seen DC getting plagued by this as well.

What worries me is the upcoming change to camps. Its great that you cant get camps unless your rank 6. But what about the ppl that sell them in stores. What is going to stop kids like this from just buying one in a store and ruining a def or a siege. And seriously why has this kid not been banned. It is getting out of hand.

Bottom of the line is when one player can compromise the gaming experiences and enjoyment of the many through an "exploit in the game mechanics" then it warrants an immediate fix of the issue and ban of the player. Normally one would think the voices of the many should outweigh the actions of one but Zos keeps proving me wrong here. I have, as well as MANY in my guild, reported the said player numerous times over the course of the past two months and yet we get the same generic responses from them in some shape or form "not in the spirit of the game but the placement of forward camps is not an exploit". No one said the placement of a forward camp was an exploit and yet this is what Zos hides behind when the said player is reported?

I have also seen the said player claim to be working on DC's behalf as he was asked to troll camp AD and yet I have yet to meet a DC player who condones the use of troll camps as we all hate them, no matter what alliance we are in. Make FCs Bind on Acquire / Pick-Up, raise the AP cost and minimum alliance rank and then maybe we will be making a serious dent in the issue at hand. Personally I have no qualms about an increase in the AP cost if it is going to help make troll camping harder. Sure as long as we have FCs we will have troll campers but clearly what we saw this weekend proves they are far too easy to acquire and thus go on a troll camping spree.

I recall reporting this guy ages ago, and once asked an ingame GM about how cheating and griefing was monitored and punished in Cyrodil. The answer was pretty much 'don't worry we do take your reports seriously and do investigate these matters'

The one or two trolls aside, most of the camps that players are claiming to be troll camps are no such thing. I've seen the screenshots of camps that were claimed to be "troll camps", when in fact, our group has placed camps in those very places for valid reasons. Usually, to blood port there after a battle so we can sneak up and quickly cap a keep. Putting the camp close by would alert someone.

For kicks, I've rez'd at some camps that to me appeared to be placed for no apparent reason. Each time, I've found players there: rarely it was a large group stealthed, but most often it's a small group ganking enemy players.

I'm sure there are a couple of trolls who get kicks out of making life miserable for others, and one of their tactics is to place camps in odd places, but by and large, most of the camps are NOT troll camps.

One more thing, did you ever consider that this kid is lying? Maybe he's just taking credit for any camp that someone complains about.

well seeing as there is no need to have camps back by the scroll temples when we have home keep advantage and then some im pretty sure I can tell the diff between trolls camps and bloodporting camps. Also I had some of my guild members lead me to the guy when I was on my blue watched him place a few camps killed him a few times. I get that he might not be responsible for all of them but he is doing the majority.

You must not have been on AD in Thornblade this weekend or weren't around for the 5 hours or so on Saturday and Sunday he was getting off on cheap thrills. Most of the recent troll threads (i.e. this weekend and this morning) are the DIRECT result of the said "kid's" actions. He was witnessed by many doing it period and we took measures to try and prevent it (i.e. placing oil pots and other siege at the location where he troll camped). All of us who were on AD in Thornblade this weekend can vouche for that.

If the person openly brags about it, what good would naming them do? Personally I would avoid doing so as to not give them the added attention.

Though, what if this is actually some sort of gambit to be as obnoxious as possible and force disciplinary action to be taken?

I have personally seen and reported this person over 10 times for harassment, camp trolling, spam and for just being a prick in general. I personally feel this AD kid, and others like him, should be put on a 3 strike system or a temporary ban after being reported by probably half of the Dominion on several occasions.

That being said, I have also thought of a few pretty simple ways to keep this from happening:

1) Add a voting system to boot cheating, harassing and spamming players from the field.

2) Make zones around keeps and other assets.
-These zones would be where you would typically use a FC, (Resources, Keeps and Gates).
- A Field Camp placed inside of these zones would not suffer any HP decay and would stay on the map until destroyed or used up.
-Any FC's outside of these zone would take on a "HP decay penalty" that would make it start decaying when not used for a time. Kind of like the siege weapons do if you leave them sitting, only with a longer time before the decay starts, and a spawn-in would stop it.

3) Have a "Field General
- A high ranking player that has their factions best interests in mind, could apply to be Field General via a vote.
- The field general would be given several abilities, but to stay focused on this topic, he/she would be able to see the names of the players that deploy FC's. He/she could then question the person responsible for the "oddly placed FC" and be able to either delete it or submit it's deletion to a vote if need be.

Idk, just some thoughts I've had while taking long walks

This games policies are surreal.

As far as I can tell griefing is a protected form of gameplay in this game. "Play as you want" might just include griefing.

Can we get the same people that moderate the forums to GM the game? It's like 2 different worlds between what is acceptable in the forums and what is acceptable in game. When I submit a ticket in game it feels like it goes to some bizzaro universe where people who don't even play the game try to answer it in a way that sounds like a legit policy. When I hear mods encourage people to send in tickets I just cringe at the thought of where those things are going.

@Kirsch9 I like your field general idea with a tweak. Allow any high ranked player (such as rank 30 or higher) to destroy camps for their faction. Each faction has a few rank 30s on during busy periods and there needs to be another perk for them given how all of the skills and passives unlock at rank 24.

hmm maybe just cancel your subscriptions then. Site in /feedback you were doing just that because of this troll.
Imagine if everyone that reported this guy cancelled their sub. until something was done ...I'd give it one week and this troll gets banned hehe.

Vote with your wallet! Best way to be taken serious.

Any player that has enough Alliance Points to repeatedly place troll camps day after day, already has Rank 6, and is continually PvPing to get more Alliance Points.

The new change to Forward Camps will not stop these individuals.
