Considering the entire point of the Pact is that they're fighting against a common enemy that's a greater threat to them than their individual issues, is it really so crazy that the real world players would band together, across factions, to do the same once in a while?
Yes it is. The collaboration can only occur out of game.
I played as a V8 Nightblade in the yellow faction. Being a NB sucks so I thought I'll start a new character as a sorceror in the red faction. New character, new faction, sounds fair to me. Get to level 14, think to myself, I'll go have a look around Cyrodiil as a red. On the Haderus map, see reds are attacking a yellow fort and pop down for a look. F#ck me dead, Red and Blue are fighting side by side. Maybe I am naive but I think it's crap. Tried to target the blue players but being a level 14 it was like hitting with a feather. This sort of joint co-operation ruins the game in my opinion.
I've seen it occur at a singular level before but not on such a large scale. There's something dishonest about it.

Agreed. This just blows me away when I see people get all bent about it. IT IS A WAR SIM. In war, you do what is strategically sound for your side, you don't have to promise to distribute your hostility equally among every enemy. It doesn't work that way. Some folks get so fired up about the Green Team or the Orange Team, blah blah blah.
Get over it.
One of the great things about 3 faction warfare happened OP. Don't QQ, it happens to all when one alliance becomes too strong.
Everyone is against the awesomeness that is the Dominion. It's because we're better. It's as simple as that

Well enter the Thornblade campaign and you will have the AD and DC against the Ebonheart Pact. Of course they cannot win unless they combine since going up against the Ebonheart Pact one on one they are defeated time and time again.
The fact that some people consider Guild loyalty is more important than faction loyalty indicates that this game is on the slide to nowhere.
And don't forget. It is just a game. So I don't understand why playing by the rules is so hard..
