If he has 150% crit chance, and is attacking someone in full legendary impenetrable set with a shield, his chance to land a crit is 150-80=70.

Not landing a single crit in 20 tries when your chance to land one is 70% is unlikely, but not impossible.

Does that morph grant 100% crit? Or does it increase your current crit chance by 100%, so if you had 20% crit it would increase to 40%.

It adds a flat 100 to your current crit chance.

Which is why i laugh at those NBs who swear by the dot clear morph.

Use the crit one and purge, you will crit the hell out of those people stacking impen.

Its the ones with shields stacking impen that cause the crit problem, because for whatever reason you cant crit shields? At least my testing shows a serious skew on shielded crits. (which is getting nerfed in 1.5 anyway)

But i digress, ive always viewed cloak as an offensive tool, not an escape mechanism. I dont build to escape my prey, I build to kill my prey.

Have 240+ weapon damage, with a bow and shadow mundus, using this rotation:

Sneak, camo hunter, charge heavy attack, release heavy, shadowy disguise, lethal arrow, mark target, light attack/poison injection spam.

In most cases the mark is dead before the first light attack hits them (the initial volley adds up to a 800 heavy, about 1600 if it crits, followed by a lethal arrow of 1400, 2400 if it crits) so unless that player has shields + impen up they will take anywhere from 2200-4000 damage from the first two attacks alone. Which in most cases happen in less than two seconds if youre quick. (the average humans reaction time is more than this, so most players are dead before they realize they were shot). Add another 500 or so if camo hunter procs vs a vampire player.

And yes, I open with a heavy for a reason, the debuff from lethal arrow interferes with shadowy disguise (the sneak bug), so unless i open heavy, my shadowy buff gets messed up for the second attack. It works though. As illustrated above, my open under ideal conditions can do almost 4000 (4500 vs vamps) damage if it is not blocked/dodge rolled or reflected. (or shielded, shielded players are much harder to alpha down, against a shielder its about half that, then it becomes a resource war)

Oh, and flawless dawnbreaker for the extra 10% damage.

OP you worry too much about having good offense for selfish reason of not thinking how others can defend themselves. I remember your name, your the poor guy I 1-hit and died, im thinking you should have wear a full impenetrable that time coz you didnt even have a chance to look at whos your slayer.. Now your complaining about impenetrable as a way to defend crits? maybe i should hunt u again and show you that people need defense too..

no its that i know how easy it is to play any other char build that's not built for crit and just stack impen. but its way too boring for me to do so.

It's just ezmode to play either shieldstack + BE + batswarm sorc, NB with aoe sap essence + batswarm or a dk with spamming scales and standard while of course with all this chars you can block 100% of the time cause all this abilities are instantcast. Put this three builds into a blob with a bunch of sorcs that spam negate field everywhere you go and there you got your pro group, really so much skill involved in that you could train chimps to do it. of course not to forget have a full group of people with former emperor passives as well that they got cheap on a buff campaign.

I don't know if you call this fun for me it isn't.

still more risk than going with a blob of 20 people spamming aoes everywhere so yes it is . if this would be viable to do anything else i would do it but it isn't, now guess why sherlock.

nono i wasn't thinking about you just in general what happens in cyrodil at least on thornblade EU . Its all i see in the blobfights for months already. just blob and spam aoe's. Its funny people think that aoe cap removal will change something it won't when you spam negates everywhere you go with your group it doesn't matter one bit if there's an aoe cap or not.
