Selling items in the Guild stores

Hello, iv got a few questions about selling my items in the guild stores...

1) How do i sell my items in the guild store ? Do i need to join a guild which has a store somewhere on the maps and go ahead and sell my items on there? If so is this easily done?

2) How can i find out a rough price list for all the items on Elder scrolls online?

3) Do people sell items by using the chat box? If so which areas on the game are the best places to shout out your items for sale?

Would much appreciate if someone could help me out with this.

1) Your guild needs to bid for a guild seller, not sure about the ins and outs of how the items are chosen for the guild seller, but It's probably down to the guild leader.

2) Apart from asking someone there are very few guides to prices, and none of them 100% reliable. Personally I would recommend asking in the guild or asking in general chat, people will generally give you an idea, but not for twenty items at once.

3) Yes, people do sell things via general chat, but it's a bit hit and miss, if nobody is interested you get no replies, and you might have to hop around various zones to find a buyer. Which is why the guild sellers were introduced.

1. Ask in chat /z to get zone chat and say looking for a guild with a trader, you will get invited the same evening
2. You can compare prices by looking them up in the different guildstores, there is a filter now that makes this easier and quicker.
3. You can sell things in zone chat, but if you spam too often most people will put you on their (auto) ignore list, making sales in the future far less likely. So be carefull not to spam more then once every 15 mins in the same zone

There are two kinds of Guild Stores, those that you access from any bank, and then those who have a Kiosk in addition. The Kiosks last a week, then they go back out for bidding. So, it's rare that a guild would keep a kiosk for weeks on end.

So, to rely on a guild that has a Kiosk is not the way to do this. It is better to join a few active trading guilds and sell that way to others in the guild. Then when they do get a kiosk, load up the inventory to sell to the public.

So, once you join a trading guild, then you can access their store from the bank. It is better to join a guild that has lots of members and is active. You can view the history once you join the guild, check out the store and what is offered. If neither looks up to snuff, drop the guild and join another one.

I am a member of 4 Trading Guilds, only one has had a Kiosk recently, but I sell in all of them. Probably because my prices are reasonable. Meaning I would rather have a 100 gold today than wait for two weeks to get 200 gold.

1) You have to be a member of a guild. You can list your items by visiting the bank where you can access all of the guild stores of which you are a member of said guilds. Or you can visit your guild's vendor/kiosk and access just that guild's store.

2) There's no 100% reliable source. But if you use the Shopkeeper addon, it makes life much easier. You can quickly look at what items have sold recently and at what prices. The more guilds you belong to, the better you can judge prices.

3) People sell in chat all the time. Though you'll get mixed opinions on when and where to do it. Personally, I think barking wares level appropriate to the zone you're in is the most effective way. But many people will shout out their VR12 wares even in starter zones.

AFAIK, it's whatever you want to list that goes into the store. At least the guild that I am in that had a Kiosk was that way. I just listed whatever I wanted (after checking to make sure there was a not already a bunch of what I was selling listed) For sure the prices were higher for that week than in my other guilds, but that's supply and demand.

Weirdly enough I sold one of my purple recipes in a non kiosk guild store and not the public store (and it's the one that needs tomatoes so it has the highest value usually)

You don't have to be in a guild that has a kiosk to make money but it helps because more people have the opportunity to buy your items than just the people in your guild. Our guild has one of the smaller kiosks, just a single one near a wayshrine, but it's a cheap kiosk to purchase and we do pretty well with it.

As far as pricing goes, the right price will move an item much faster. I agree with Nestor but I would add that if you have a valuable item, sometimes patience will pay off. Stuff that costs less than 1k is no big deal and you can price them to move. But if you have a big item, it's possible to wait it out and earn a larger profit. I had a Daedric motif for sale in our store at 55k. A guildmate came along and listed his at 50k, and certainly his was sold first. Mine however still sold within a week, and I earned an extra 5k just by not panicking about the price difference.

Overall I prefer trading in our guild store much more than trying to sell stuff via chat. But I do sometimes take crafting jobs via chat than can be pretty lucrative, so there are advantages there, too.

Each member of the guild has 30 slots in the store and can list whatever they want at whatever price. This is per guild, so if you have 4 guilds that have stores, you get 120 slots total.

It is not necessary to have a guild trader. Active trading guilds will sell a lot internally as well.

I second the Shopkeeper addon. It's very useful.

Yep, those Purple Crabmeat Food Recipes are staying at 15K. Which is actually a decent price for those based on other ones I have seen listed in Guild Stores. Only sold one in a week, but I will wait to sell the others I have listed. Besides, I throw that money at the banker for more bag space anyway.

This topic is from October 2014, ESO on consoles was just a rumour back then.

You can use Tamriel Trade Centre to get an idea of prices on consoles, but it only tracks sales players have submitted, so it may be inaccurate. But since the game itself doesn't offer any way to get average prices or info on recent sales (except looking through your guild's history) and addons aren't permitted on consoles there isn't a way to get that data automatically.

The other option is of course to ask - either ask in chat for a price check, or offer it for sale at what you think is a reasonable price and see what happens. But then you run the risk of the people answering either not knowing or lying to try and get a better deal.
