Money - How to get?

So, I've just recently came back, after a recent break, and I've noticed armor and even rare traits going for 15k each, and I was wondering how people got gold, is there a special way?

- If someone could explain either the newest grind/way to get money to me, I would kindly appreciate it, thanks

They were back in April, we're on update 4 atm, that's why I asked.
But I guess if there's no specific spot, are there wolves still a good place to grind?

    Thank you regardless.

Fair enough point, however I think the principles are still sound.

I can't answer your grinding question sorry, as I've never really done that, I get bored too easily ;).

Picking flowers is a steady way to earn a few thousand gold quick. There's a few spots where they are concentrated. Farming motifs/recipes is still something alot of people do, again find the spots where the percentage is high.

But I don't want to become a gardener
I want to chop of every enemys head I see.. not pick flowers

Regardless, thanks, I guess Motif farming is still pretty good..

Collect ore, wood and cloth nodes and refine them for materials and tempers. I have at least 1.2 million in gold in tempers alone at current prices. Harvesting potion reagents is another good way to make gold. I have at least 500k in gold in reagents.

Farming for motifs is hit-and-miss. You could farm for hours, or even days, without finding a purple motif or recipe, much less a legendary one. Farming materials, on the other hand, is guaranteed gold all day long, every day.

My money mainly stems from mats, tempers and reagents.

But, believe it or not, I do occasionally get a good sack o coins from selling a few costumes believe it or not....but those sales are far a and few between.

I also gain a decent enough profit from selling green weapons/armor with traits.

There is almost a guaranteed payout if you buy empty gemstones from merchants, fill it up yourself, and sell it for a higher price on the market for those who are too lazy to do it themselves. It may not be a high payout (give or take), but it is a steady enough business.

Incredible the fact people pay that much for them kind of things, but considering, they're quite boring to farm no?

I'd prefer to farm something that is.. say, wolves from EP first map?
    - I'd say that was the most popular way to get easy materials etc in clothing, I'm just wondering whether that place has been fixed yet?

I don't find it boring, and it doesn't really take all that long once you find a zone you like to farm in and you know where everything is at. I farm in a certain zone, along a certain route, every day, and I know where everything is. Every node, every chest, every rune.

For example, a stack of raw ore goes for between 1.3k and 1.5k per stack. In less than 2 hours I can gather 10 stacks of raw ore. That's 13k to 15k right there. Not counting the stacks of other materials that I'm collecting along the way, as well as chests.

If you only did this for 2 hours per day, you could gather enough materials to make 30k per day. In 10 days time that turns into 300k. In a month it comes out to almost a million gold. It adds up quick. Of course this depends on your ability to find a buyer for said materials. I've found that selling raw ore, wood and cloth, along with reagents is quite easy. You can see WTB offers in zone chat all the time for raw materials.

You don't have to spend all of your game time farming for materials. I don't. I also run dungeons and PvP. Just those 2 hours per day will get you a lot of gold. After you've put those 2 hours in, go kill stuff.

I don't know about any NPC grind spots, other than the grinds in Craglorn.

Crow's was nerfed ages ago. Farming there is no longer viable ;)

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

The thing about farming mats is that although they are expensive and you may have 1mill in crafting mats that doesn't mean you will sell them very fast. In the end you do not really need much money except to buy mats so gathering is always a win.

If you just some fast get a good AOE dps build and farming public dungeons for stuff to sell is also an option. I did manage to get +8K/h farming the v10 Vile Manse.

Aspect runes ...on Starter islands there are spots where nodes are close to each other (get a map ..). Farm aspects, sell them.

Didn't really want to get that specific because we like to keep some money making secrets to ourselves but this is a pretty good one.

Had to go back to Bal Foyen the other day for a discovery or two and as I ran around a nearly empty landscape there were aspect runes every few feet it seemed. Got a few Rekutas with hardly any effort.

I am waiting on 1.5 to farm raw materials then refine, then make stuff for craft daily quests.
Other option is to farm dungeons. This method gives me 5k-6k per hour. Keep in mind u cant repair gear or else u cant make this much.

If you have levelled in crafts, just doing dungeons and quests and selling all your white and green weapons/armor should bring in a fair amount of money.

If you join a trading guild or two, you can put set items for sale. Some will sell faster than others, but someone always needs that last piece to complete their set of something.

You can also gather mats as you go about your business, refine them and vendor the refined mats and put the improvers up for sale.

Dailies in Cyrodiil also give you money and since most of them involve killing stuff, also loot.

Honestly, just screwing around doing content at high levels seems to be a pretty good source of cash. At least, for me. I pull in an average of about 5k an hour, just doing stuff in Vet 5 Bangkorai, and it's been similar through most Covenant territory.

Some of that is from vendoring drops, and even just vendoring mats I'm not going to use. But, the cash is certainly flowing in.

As a crafter I can definitely vouch for the value of mining; but really its not just the direct act of mining resources and selling them, but also when you play, PvE as an example, just selling the loot you acquire (armour, weapons), and any materials you find across the way. I rack up quite a bit doing this.

But if you are a crafter I recommend the following: mine Nirncrux in Upper Craglorn! Each piece you find will fetch about 10 to 15k gold from other players. And although the rate you find it is terribly low, you will also accrue lots of mats you can turn around and sell anyways. So if you do want to harvest mats for resell then Upper Craglorn is a logical choice if it is available to you. I have some information available here if your new to it:

If you're a high trait crafter, even without nirncrux, you can make a fair amount of cash just making and selling armor on spec to people. Being able to 8 trait anything would be good, but just being able to craft any piece of 6 trait can easily net you 5k for 10 minutes of work.

If you're going that route, make sure you have divines for everything. Infused is also a good option.

Also, if you're having issues with repair costs, prioritize sturdy gear. It will deteriorate at a lower rate, and as a result, be cheaper to maintain over longer periods of time. It's not as cool as something like Reinforced, Well Fitted, or Divine, but it will make your life easier.

I just do dungeon run, and grab as much loot as I can, sell it and move on. Selling pretty much everything rather than breaking it down will net you a lot more cash over time. Pick up any resources and reagents you see along the way to boot.

Find a place with a large concentration of enemies and aoe farm nekkid. Everything you find is pure profit. As long as no one is around I can make about 5k every time I have to empty my bags.

Stay out of craglorn, it's terrible for making money. Half the stuff there doesn't drop anything at all, so you can kill 1000 monsters to get a chest that has 60g and one piece of green garbage. Complete waste of time.
