New Crafting Style: Dwemer, Woot!

✭✭✭✭✭I guess it all depends on how rare they make the Motif for this whether I will get excited or not. If it's like Nirnhorn/Imperial, I can go the whole game without making this and be quite happy.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gedalya✭✭✭✭✭I guess it all depends on how rare they make the Motif for this whether I will get excited or not. If it's like Nirnhorn/Imperial, I can go the whole game without making this and be quite happy.
It doesn't sound like it; it sounds like the hard thing will be getting the Motif, but once you have it then it should be easy to grind the mats. I'm fine paying for rare Motifs; it is what it is. I had to buy some of the rarer ones for my crafting alt; and ended up selling a few rarer dups I acquired. I know opinions differ.

Now if they had properties, like fire resistance, or extra stamina etc, then it would be worth getting all worked up about finding the motif.

I love that they are adding it; yeah as an after thought it ultimately is Vanity. A nice touch would have been the addition of some new sets; perhaps specific to the Dwemer style dropped in certain areas. So in other words, in addition to the new crafting style, lets say you could find pieces for a specific Dwemer armour set in a Dwemer dungeon.0 -

Wonder what role Dwarven Ore will have now? Sounds like we have to kill Dwemer machinery to get the Style Trait?

Crescent✭✭✭✭Why would they release a rare motif to farm in Dwemer ruins when most of those are in lower level areas....
I don't want to go back to farm weak mobs for months hoping for several lucky drops.
Stop with that crap. Just make these motif unlocks come from achievements.
You know, like finishing Cadwell's Almanac or all the zone quests instead of getting some useless blue necklace.1 -

Wrong! I just cleared Bthzark in VR1 Stros M'Kai and Razak's Wheel in VR5 Bangkorai and despite killing almost 100 Dwarven constructs, I received a total of 2 Dwemer Scraps. You need 10 of these scraps before you can refine them into the style stone (like Starmetal or Daedra Heart), which are Dwemer Frames in this case. This is different from the other styles and materials obviously.
Once you have a Dwemer Frame, you would use your regular crafting materials such as iron ingots or sanded maple to craft a Dwemer armor piece or weapon. Of course, you need the Dwemer motif book or its chapters just like any other racial style and I have yet to find any of the new chapters of the new motif, let alone the book itself.
Given how much time will be needed to obtain the Dwemer Frame style "stones," I don't think people will be crafting much Dwemer gear for a while.
