Bug? The empty pedestal of character selection.

For several weeks have had this happening:
On the EU server.
Log out of 1 character, level 12-14 any type, go to character select screen.
On character select screen don't have character logged out of on pedestal and no alliance banner appears, background is usually desert DC type. Again doesn't matter what alliance the logged out character is.
Can switch to another character and proper background appears and can play on. Or even relog to logged out character. Not a game stopper but dam weird.
Anyone else have?
Any ideas on how to fix?
Have tried repairing but doesn't seen to fix it.

✭✭Have you tried clicking on another character, but not loading it, then click on the character you want.
I only suggest this because last week one of my characters was missing in the same manner, and that worked for me (just don't ask what my thinking was).People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

✭I get the same bug but as Alex noted, clicking on a character on the list restores them to their heroic pose upon the pedestal.
Yes, it indeed odd.
Ever get the one where they walk backward to stand on the pedestal? That one's amusing...well...to me.0 -
hushia✭✭Yes, I have noticed this empty pedestal too ever since the last big patch. It is not every time and I haven't been able to find out what is the common factor. Pretty weird bug.1 -

Also, just had it happen on the NA server too, only it was the AD background for a DC toon.. and the AD banner was there... stranger and stranger...0 -
tengri✭✭✭✭✭I see this at least once a day - mostly when switching through all my alts quickly to collect the hireling mails.
Didn't think much about it, just filed it under minor stuff no one at Z QA gives a crap about.
Oh, but that reminds me - the "missing-personal-character-sound-effects" bug is still out there, too... and quickly switching through various alts is an almost guaranteed way to trigger it.0 -
Woolenthreads✭✭✭✭I have this all the time. However it's not necessarily the Alik'r Desert Background. If your first character is DC then it's Alik'r Desert, if your first is AD then it's Auridon. I can only see this on two system sets, mind you, because I have EU and NA on separate installs. I assume that if your first character was EP then you would have Bleakrock/Eastmarch in the background.
