Guild Bank Auto-Sorting - Will we ever get it back?

A bit of information for newer players: In the beginning, Guild Banks would auto-sort placed items just like personal banks do. There was a duping exploit and they removed auto-sorting as a workaround until the problem could be fixed. This was many moons ago.
I can only fathom two explanations as to why the workaround is still in place:
1. The devs have shelved the issue and/or completely forgotten about it.
2. They are still working on the issue, but still can't come up with a fix that works.
I really hope it's something else, because both of the above explanations are a bit disconcerting.

A reasonable explanation. One that I would say is troubling on more levels than just guild bank functionality. Too bad all we can do is speculate, as we haven't heard any news on this since they temporarily™ shut it down.Victoria Lux - Templar Tank

. Possibly as much as 99% in one Guild. Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP

Rodario✭✭✭✭✭This issue is still important to me, as it annoys me every day. Rather than starting a new thread, I'm hereby resurrecting this one in the hopes of it receiving an official statement this time around.
@ZOS: Are you really going to leave this cumbersome and inconvenient workaround in place indefinitely? When you first disabled Guild Bank auto-sorting, you called it a temporary measure. I know, temporary is a relative term, but it's been almost a year now.

✭I can quote the official response for you even if there hasn't yet been an official response:Rest assured, we are actively working on this and other fixes. We do apologize but we felt that our other exciting changes (the Champion system, the all-new Justice system, to name a few) were more important and for this reason, the above mentioned fixes had to take a back seat for the time being.
We will come back to those together with all the other big plans we had when and if we ever have time. My best estimate is patch 2.9.4 expected to arrive on live by end of October 2017.

Check out Roomba as others have said, automates the entire process and it the closest to awesome that an addon can come (aside from AwesomeGuildStore ofc)Allow cross-platform transfers and merges0
