Anyone else feeling left out when it comes to information about upcoming changes?

Hi there,
there is a big background buzz going on about update 5. While I appreciate and am very thankful for the time and effort players invest to discuss and share their knowledge about some bits they gathered on non-ESO-forums and -plattforms were update 5 is apparently discussed in much more detail, I feel like beeing shut out of the discussion right from the beginning. I don't like that.

I always thought the "news" section of this forum should be THE place were any new things would appear first... but there is not a single line even mentioning things like "enlightment", "champion system" or alike.

I like to spend most of my free time playing the game ... and frankly, I simply do not have the time (and for that matter the nerves) to search any other plattform than the ESO-forums for information about this game. I don't even see any reason to do so - I would not go to a butcher and ask for his varity of vegetables either- so why not make proper use of the "news" section and actually INFORM your player base?

Am I the only one who feels this way?

Regards

Maybe the whole idea of recent summit was to do even less CS on their side and let players inform other players about things that are happening in ESO.
I didn't understand their lack of commitment to this forum even before the summit, it's gotten worse since.
Deleting the posts, editing thread titles, "we read" and "behave" posts are basically all they do in here.

Zos already said they are going to post a copy of their own summary of the summit soon

ZOS didn't even officially inform us the summit was going to take place, no wonder there's no summary of what was discussed. When they finally release one, it will be ages after the unofficial ones.

    More reliable than this forum.

I'm not worried about the future, it will come soon enough.

I don't feel left out, but that's because I don't rely on a single resource (even an official one) for information. x:

    No.

The future will come ... and so will changes, no doubt about that one.

I would really like to be an active part of the community creating/disscussing/trolling/painting/dreaming/sharing (etc, etc...) this future. But right now I can't do that, because I don't even get acess to the information regarding the thoughts about this future. I feel shut out ... left alone... neglegted... and i can not imagine that this is intentional.

Did I miss an official note on this forum? To my knowledge there is ... none... . (?)

Thank you for sharing this link! This really helps to get some information on the upcoming changes... and for that matter thank you atropos for making this information available.

It still does not explain why I have to search a non-ESO-forum to get information on ESO and two lines in that forum namely:

    1) "By Atropos on October 1, 2014 in ESO News" (see first line/header) and
    2) "I’ll be updating this post periodically over the course of the weekend to share the most interesting details, whether they are big announcements or simply developer insights into current issues. Be sure to keep an eye on this page for updates!" (just after the first paragraph) make me wonder: How reliable is this information

(Please do not feel offended atropos, its not a personal mistrust - its just to point out my trouble with unoffical notes)

To make my belly-ache when it comes to non-offical-site-information even more clear just read : http://tamrielfoundry.com/2014/02/templar-class-impressions/

... you might find that some points in there are a bit outdated already.

(Again no offense, but templar is the only class i played up to now so i wouldn't know about the rest)

I close this now and hope somebody from the ESO-staff still has a look at this, I don't want to go into blaming or shaming - I believe that the way i feel about the information distribution here is shared by many others and while beeing a topic easily abuseable I really think this needs to be discussed ESO-intern.

    Thanks to all of you!
