Changing Classes....

As a VR14 NB, who mostly plays PvP, I won't be playing another class as I don't have the time to level up from 1 all the way through again.

It would be nice to have the option to change classes, otherwise I will never play as another class in this game. Not a QQ, just a fact. I will still need to level up the skills from the class of course, which will take a fair amount of grinding. This can be penance for the purists.

Don't expect it, but it would be a nice addition.

I normally don't play alts but I made a different class and went on blackwater blade at lvl 10. I got to lvl 36 and it was very very fun. bwb has been slow recently now though.

I wouldn't mind doing the 1-50 again, but there's no way I'm doing the VR grind again.

Once the champ system is out, all you characters on your account that are level 50 or above will have the same amount of advancement. If your account has 200 champ points, each and every character gets to spend 200. So its worth levelling up to 50 now so its ready for the new system.

I agree, happy to lvl to vr1 but no further - which is why I can't wait for champion points to come and vet ranks to be removed, although this won't be for ages...

So what do I get from having levelled a character up to vr14? More champ points?

Are you sure this is how it works?

The way I understood it was: If you have 200 champ points, ANY character gets to spend 200.

Not EVERY character gets 200 champ points to spend.

Surely it's any, or everyone will be all 8 characters up to level 50 and spending the 200 from there.

Not that I'd mind that, lol. I'm an altoholic and have lots of VR characters now. : P

But yeah, any makes the most sense.

All characters on your account get the benefits you have earned, but your points can be spent on a per-character basis.

This is why Champion system is account bound. Level an alt and spend the Champ points earned on your NB to the new class.

ZoS would be idiots if they allowed a class change purchase just because you are lazy.

Say why. Not lazy, I don't have time. Perhaps its my real life causing my laziness.

    Well that's rude.

There are a lot of long-time TES fans who don't think the game should have classes at all. If it didn't I'd have bought it at launch rather than waiting for it go on sale recently like I did. And at the moment I'm leaning against subbing after the free month is up, waiting to see what the spellcrafting system brings.

Personally, having decided to put classes in the game I've always thought there should be an in-game method (i.e. not cash shop) for players to switch. Maybe make players have to earn them.

I've spent the past week trying all four classes trying to pick the right one for me and am almost settled on one because based on the current state of the game they most suit my tastes. But abilities change. Change just one in particular and a different class would be better for me. If that happened I wouldn't put in all the time and effort to level the other class. I'd just go play something else.

That's why I'm probably going to hit the cancel sub button soon and wait to see spellcrafting.

So this confuses me. Would you mind to level up to 50 or not?!

As soon as you have 200 Championpoints, every character can spend them. Doesn't matter if you have one or eight. If you have one, he has 200 points. If you have eight, every one has 200 points, not just 25.
