Before I go I want to tell the developers why.
I want to start with this game had serious potential and the single player side of it was fun while it lasted.
My main problem with this game is the lag, dc's and thrown together end game pvp.
When campaigns end they do not reset the board.
How stupid is that?
We completely own Chillrend and we keep it that way week after week with no real opposition anymore.
It is a dead server that we use for the buffs.
A simple and obvious way to help keep the servers fun would be the obvious reset the campaign map every time we finish a campaign.
When it rolls over and we still control every keep, every marker no one bothers to rally and try to take it back,
The first time I saw the map stay the same I was stunned at the sheer stupidity of it.
I play as guest all day on the 30 day server because we have almost no pvp going on on my home.
Second my setting are set as low as they can go, I have a incredible pc and a 70 mbps internet connection speed but this game runs like the hamster on the wheel is ready to die.
It does not handle the small amount of people allowed in the zone at the same time and often crashes and lags out completely during important fights.
By that I mean a small force against a large force and we are starting to make headway then BAM crash.
Its like playing chess and some ass went and kicked the board over.
Usually you will come back dead, on the other side of the map and any push you had going well is now over.
Do you think its fun to have to keep logging in?
Everytime you patch this game or update it you made it worse not better!
It played smoother the first month compared to now.
If you can not handle the amount of players you allow at a time on a server without massive lag or dc what the hell is the point of you?
No you are not breaking any new ground with the amount of people you have on a map same time becuase anything more then 50-100 your game runs like garbage.
You do not use all my processors correctly, you do not give us a 64 bit exe so we can use a bit more of our ram.
You do not seem to use my sli graphic cards very well and I have seen many many other games do it better.
We should not be writing excuses for you or just dealing with it because we are use to it.
Up your game and either code like pros or get some better servers with all our cash.
Who cares if the graphics are good when almost everyone has to trim them to nothing to get even decent fps in Cyrodil.
It is a spam fest as well where people find the exploit in your skills and just abuse the crap out of it.
I am not fighting people I am fighting devouring bats and impulse zergs.
Before people say cry cry get better I am actually a very good pvp player and even with the spam one key skills I manage to kill a lot of people.
The problem is its BORING!
I dont want to just smash threw people exploiting nor do I like fighting trains of aoe flash skills.
I want a good fight where I have to think a bit and work my skills in inventive and imaginitive ways.
Its button mashing as it is at best.
Lastly the gear end game is crap.
I have over half a million ap with nothing to bother spending it on other then more ballista or fc's.
NO INCENTIVE exists for me to make more.
Your elite end game gear is all focused on the class you think should be using it and no cross over stuff exists.
I am a heavy gear battle mage and my choices in elite gear was just about nill.
You bill this game to be what you want and mix it up to fit us but the end game pvp gear shows thats not true at all.
If you are a warrior in heavy gear the gear will fit you well that you get to buy, if you wear light and are a caster it does as well, though the options you get are gimpy and limited.
But if you are anything else you will not be happy with your options for pvp gear.
Not allowing us to craft pvp gear so we can tweak a few things to fit our playstyle is a bad move.
You should have made purchasing elite gear a way to unlock crafting that piece.
I dont want some of the useless traits you find on the gear and I sure as hell would like a chance to make some that works for me.
AS a mage why the hell do I want my gear focused on weapon damage just so I can be in the gear I specialized in.
I have two elite rings worth a quarter million ap a piece and they sit in my bag now a days.
Why?
Because the lesser level rings fit the elite weapon set and the elite rings do not.
How about making vet 14 normal armorer gear in Cyrodil for people to pick from as well?
Your choices as is are picking vet 12 gear or elite gear that doesnt fit my character at all.
I went back to crafter gear and it works better then the set I tried to use with 5% player dmg reduction and 20% seige dmg reduction.
I have done almost every quest in the game and very little except pvp is left for my end game which is fine but the pvp feels thrown together as if it doesnt matter to the developers.
Its pretty much end game for at least half of us so I would say it matters a LOT!
I had a guild of about 100 people and watched it over the last couple months turn into a grave of players who dont play the game anymore.
They didnt quit my guild they just never come online anymore.
At first they always came on and all was well.
Now I am lucky to see 6 people on at any time in my guild.
Every other guild I was apart of also showed very few people logging in and less each week.
I have played so many games in my life that I know a game heading towards free to play and I know a game on its death throes.
This game is dying and I will go ahead and say it.
I had intended to play this game for at least a year but I dont think I am going to make it another month.
I want a mostly lag free game and you have had more then enough time to give it to us.
I think you have had enough of my money now and time patiently waiting but now I am breaking up with you.
I cant convince any of my players or friends to stay or come back so I am going to move on with them.
You screwed up a really good thing I feel and you dont seem able to fix it.
I could list a lot more reasons and I could point out a lot of easy fixes that never get used but whats the point.
I cared about this game is the reason for this long winded good bye and I am sure I will get a lot of waa cry cry responses but thats fine.
The simple truth is I dont find your game fun anymore and I want to laugh at what you consider pvp... I have left better games then this.
I am not controlled by how much I invested in a game or how long I have been playing my character.
Its all about if I am having fun or not and if not Im gone to the next that promises some fun.
Plenty of other options exist and I bid you fare thee well.
