ESO needs more feature not just more dungeons!!!! not complaing love the game just ideas

I think eso needs more sandbox features and things to do. I love the story and the voice acting pulls you in, I also love the quests, its not repetitive and your always doing something different instead of the usual grind fest, but it needs more things to do...KEY WORD THINGS TO DO!!!

0. there should be more places to conjugate with others like guild halls, open pubs and player event areas that are icons on maps that make it easy for others to find. places to go if you want to make trades with other characters like areas meant for that. I hate not being able to dive underwater or ride on all the cool ships they have. we should be able in the future to do things like that it would be fun instead of getting eaten by fish.

1.more character customization is first, why are almost all the hairstyles Mohawks? its hard to be creative in here. I want more hairstyles and be able to use multiple adornments and have scars and tattoos why do I have to choose. costumes would be cool too.

2.if I am paying a subscription why do I have to pay so much gold out of my bungho just for bag space. don't get me started on the horses I didn't even pay for the imperial edition, I don't see why I have to. I have to make 5 other character just to hold my stuff cause I craft.

3. player housing, if we have player housing will probably be amazingly expensive i can imagine. the only i want is to use the housing system to put all my stuff in and decorate like Skyrim or archeage (archeage actually sucks when it come to story telling or questing I just love the immense sandbox features.) I don't care how its implemented like instanced or have to chop XX amount of wood, all I care about is how I can use it. like putting my trophies and storing unites or cases and mannequins, having my own forge and what not. I want furniture to decorate and be usable.

4. pets, should be obtainable more in game if they are just for vanity purposes or from events or holiday giveaways. why do I have to buy a different version of a game to get this pet, spend x amount of money or a collectible toy, or whatever. I can understand special pets for loyalty or even pre-ordering, but the other stuff is just too much.

5. if I can steal stuff I want to be able to open more stuff besides chests like houses, cases and more. I want more difficulty when it come to being a thief. I want to feel like I'm stealing stuff the chests are boring and I don't even get to much loot or gold. I want to battle with other thieves over a thieves castle and what not. you all know what I'm talking about you played other TES games.(fix the nightblade shadow skills they broke and you know it.)

to be honest if it had more sandbox feature like other game I would continue to pay my subscription cause the way they implement the story is awesome.

I know they are coming out with a justice system and you can kill the npc, a champion system and a spell craft thing too but like I said just need other things to do in game content wise besides bigger dungeons.

I too feel this way but the recent guild summit and ALL of the updates to this point just make me question if ESO is the right game for me. I feel like ZOS is trying its best to appease the MMO players and us TES players are just out of luck.

I've never been a huge fan of MMOs but the list of things ESO is just flat out missing is staggeringly huge. I think to myself things like "wouldn't it be cool if the ships in the harbors were dynamic and have a sense of buoyancy. It would be awesome if they could be ridden in and out of the harbor into the open sea... I guess that's just not possible in MMOS."

Then come to find out other MMOs have that exact type of dynamic ship animation and schedule... even WOW has this and that game is a decade old!

I played some Neverwinter prior to ESO launching and I've been watching videos of other MMOs like Wildstar, Archage, Guild Wars 2and even some WOW videos and ESO just feels old and shallow to me.

I DON'T want ESO to just be a "me too" MMO but there are just so many systems that it's lacking from both the MMO side and the TES side that I find myself playing JUST because it's and Elder Scrolls game, not because it's a compelling world/experience/environment.

I'm here because I'm a TES fan and I'll play through the main story but after that, I don't know if I'll be sticking around. ESO just offers too little in this day and age.

This is the game I WANT to still be playing and enjoying a year from now. But yeah, the OP really nails it, unless the world becomes MUCH more immersive and "the little things" get implemented I'll probably be looking for something new. We need the sandbox. We need the housing, the CLOTHING, the array of CHANGEABLE hairstyles, ships we can sail, and HOBBIES. The other day my character was questing and came across a painting and an EASEL! And I was like, "I WANT TO USE THAT! I WANT MY CHARACTER TO PAINT!"

Also ZoS...where are the freakin' CHILDREN in cities and towns??? Dogs, cats, rats, pigs, cows and horses all around making it feel "real"....but not one single CHILD??? IN THE WHOLE GAME??? WTH???

I think what you're all talking about is immersion. You want to feel like you're part of the world, and being able to interact with the world in that manner helps to feel that way.

I like the premise behind this thread and think it would be a really good addition to the game. But one thing we have to be careful of is being unrealistic. Some of the ideas, such as boats and diving, would require a complete engine rework, it's not practical or financially efficient to do it at this point.

Housing, Character Customization, Costumes, Pets, etc... Those are all simple things that they really should be putting in the patches in addition to the other things.

As for more intractable objects for thieving, that is coming with the Justice System, you will be able to steal the things you see in the houses, art, gold, jewels, silverware, etc...

Yep. Like I said in another thread, they have to find the "sweet spot" to appease the content locuts/end gamers AND those who came from TES stand alone games ( a large percentage of us) who want to make this MMO their home for years, not just another in a revolving door of mediocre MMOs.

Not only do I want these items to have value to sell to vendors (and I hope there's a shady fence who will likely give you fluctuating prices for stolen goods) but I want them to be items you can place in your own home as well. And I want to therefore ALSO be able to buy them legitimately for my non-thieving characters.

I would love housing as well, but I'd prefer they take their time with implementing it & do it not only right, but better than the other games on the market. That's how you make a lasting impression on subscribers & keep them subscribing ;)

this is exactly what im talking about. we all love the game but we all know after the fighting their is little behind the fact. I would love to be able to see the ships bouncing in the water or more npc running around and cities full of chatter.

we want new hairstyles with shops that we can go to in town, costumes and clothing to wear when we are not in combat, housing that we can interact with, decorate and put our stuff away.

    WE WANT THE SANDBOX

(but I do understand that it would be a big overhaul to make a diving system or make the boats bouncy in the water.)

This is the exact reason I made this thread asking what ZOS needs from us, the forum community.

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/134538/zos-what-do-you-need-from-us#latest

If ZOS came out and said "Sorry guys but dynamic boats and diving isn't something we're concerned about and isn't even on our radar to update" we would, as a whole, say "that sucks but thanks for letting us know." They could even come out and say "It's something we want to add but we don't have a specific timetable for when it will be added". Even that would keep us hopeful and would give us something to look forward to.

NOT communicating us just leaves us with the question "Why aren't they working on this?" and "Are we even being listened to?". There's NO benefit to telling us we're being listened to and then proceed to not communicate with us.

In Age of Conan they would flat out tell us that they didn't particularly listen to what forums posters had to say because we were "only a tiny portion of the player community" and therefore were not actually representative of what the player community as a whole wanted. They also loftily assured us that they had "other means" of knowing what the larger player base wanted...yet never deigned to share with us what those were. Yes, this attitude DID have something to do with me unsubbing from that game after literal years of paying and supporting it.

Point is, I worry that the same thing happens here but ZoS just doesn't put it in such bald terms.

ZOS cares about one group of players only - raiders. If you don't like to perform raids (or in ESO's case, trials or four player dungeons), then ZOS apparently doesn't really care what you want or like to do. That seems to be the only new content ZOS cares to deliver as we receive more of it with each update.

wow only the raiders uhhh, well if we want to be heard we got to speak louder on what we want cause without the players they have no game. I mean everyone eventually get tired of doing the same things over and over again.

Would love some form of housing. Maybe even where we build our home.

But this being a new game I could see them doing something after the first expansion. As long as it is done where it is loyal to the Elder Scrolls Lore/Game.

I love that idea that's something I really want is housing and a nice form of it. hopefully it wont be so expensive like you need 100,000 gold of something. Collecting furniture and stuff would be fun.

it would also be cool to have guild housing or castles to hang out.
