Grouping Improvements Question?

I am reading this:

And I quote one ZOS's goals

"Grouping Improvements – Quests in dungeons are shareable, and if you enter the dungeon late your quest will be advanced to the current stage."

My question is

How will I make a quest my own? I mean by that -- How my actions and dialog chooses that I made effect the quest how I feel about vs what the group is doing witch may or may not what I want to do that in a quest -- for example if a certain NPC live or die in a quest.

Are quest repeatable so that I can make the quest my own not how someone else (aka a group) says how a quest should be?

    There really aren't that many options in dungeons that lead to anything fantastically different. You basically kill stuff, talk to the npc, kill more, talk rinse repeat. Even in the areas outside the dungeons, most choices are the illusion of choice and no matter what you pick it generally won't change the outcome. Generally. There are a few but for the vast majority of situations I don't see this being an issue. :)
