Oh they exist, believe me. In fact that is really the only time mods and/or ZoS members comment on threads or make their presence otherwise known on this forum is when someone breaks the rules or posts something NOT related to ESO's technical issues. Most of their comments are your general copy/paste format where they may or may not change a word here or there in different situations.

So i'm guessing you made this thread wondering if the game is living up to its expectations.

No, no it is not. At least when it comes to PvP. PvE is quite fun, though.

I was a doomsayer but im hopeful following the news from the guild summit.

The game is improving, may not be at the rate some want though.

All those people have moved on to games where your toon actually feels like a fighter with quick reflexes instead of a spastic waving a sword around while your key presses are still on their way to the server, and back, or, whatever.

ESO should be expanding the number of pvp servers at any moment.

I was playing on Thornblade on EU last night and didn't have a problem at all.

Molag Bal snacks on negative and dead threads for lunch, along with a cool glass of the angry tears of gamers.

There are some threads that get outright deleted, but most get closed. The threads of doom usually occur after a patch or when the game is unplayable, as in they have nothing better to do. Right now things are somewhat stable, they supposedly "fixed" some of the crashes in PvP so that will reduce the number of rage posts. Also, the bugs from last patch have mostly been resolved, so not as many reasons for people to come to forms, always a surge after a major "patch" due to the vast amount of bugs also injected.

There is a lot of QQ over grinding at the moment and people who want others to be forced to group with them , but otherwise just normal passive aggressive, sarcasm, and disappointment , but not doom. I think most lack the enthusiasm or passion at them moment that a Doom thread requires. We all want something new and more, there is little hope for a while, but there is hope.

Also, a Doom thread is to get a reaction, but ZOS reaction is to moderate, close, or delete, rather than address as a company who wants an active community would.

it would really only take one active representative to come on the forums (as a representative) and talk, play, start some threads (never be the moderator) . They would have to have a thick skin at first, but in short order they would have backing of large number of players, and that would help the community tremendously. Speaking positively about something is almost magic in the way it improves attitudes, but to really help the source must have perceived power to make it so.

If they really wanted to help they could have a few devs or representatives openly play (i do not think devs actually play this game, they just cannot be aware of some of the issues), not at GMs or having GM power, but simply being know to be a conduit of information.

Hmm....I think that patch would have to include a full refund and an apology from them for charging you to be a beta tester.

Honestly, I suspect quite a bit of these were related to the launch of the game; which is to say specific to the type of vitriol that any of a number of games (MMOs) can get when they launch. If the game in question is good, then the phase passes; and ESO is great, so it has run it's course.
