End Game Questline for Vampires

Vampires: In Skyrim, you can contract vampirism but meeting a vampire lord means you can THEN be "transformed" into his particular strain... almost as if the initial strain you contract merely sets the stage for what you can ultimately become. Vampirism is not completely static in Skyrim. So I can totally see Vet level quests that, depending upon your choices, would set you up to serve one of a handful of different, very powerful, vampires and successfully completing their missions would then result in them "blessing" you with their particular, stronger (edit to add: when I say "stronger" all I actually mean is "more choices" not abilities that are OP), strain of vampirism. It wouldn't really be stronger in terms of game mechanics but would give you new additions to your already existing vampire skill line that you could then choose to replace other abilities with. A "vampire lord" Ultimate akin to Skyrim would be pretty sweet though!

For quest rewards I think they should vary depending upon which vampire lord you choose to serve. I realllllly would hope that one of them would be a Cyrodilic vampire that could reward you with an item that would, when slotted, allow you to look like a normal human/mer (as in whatever your character looked like BEFORE becoming a vampire) up until you hit Stage 4.

What other strains of vampirism would you like to see represented and what would you like to see as rewards for completing their quests?

What other vampire abilities would you like to see added to the vampire skill line?

What kind of story arcs would intrigue you and keep you engaged?

With as many of you that play vampires there's no thoughts out there on this? Or is it really all just about the PvP after all?

No thoughts that I haven't posted a dozen times over saying both vampires and werewolves need more places to put points, and need multiple skill lines.

And while I completely agree with that, the question here is basically: So how do we get there? It's ideas for the implementation that I'm after. Ideally ones that enhance immersion. I know there is no shortage of smart and creative players in this game so was hoping to see their input.

Bring in Dawnguard as an Enforcer style anti-vampire opt in PvP faction... set it up so they need to successfully identify vampires and kill them in the open world.

Obviously this needs to come with a method for vampires to hide their nature, and a way for them to opt in.

I did a full write up on the idea a few days ago, but the basic gist was to mimic the capture the flag style gameplay that the Justice system is trying to use, but with an element of monster hunting themed forum games.

EDIT: Yeah, it is kinda about the PvP. It's that or actually design new content that will be seen by a vanishingly small chunk of the game's population. I'm all for that, but it just might not be cost effective.

Well I would LOVE something like what you describe in addition to vampire questlines. Can I get a link to your write up? I'm sorry I missed it and want to catch up!

You are persistent. Thanks for keeping the conversation going.
A small set of boons that you can choose from would be great.
Maybe a speed buff, different forms, morphs to vampire skills. Though any of these things will have to be little more than cosmetic or have to have limited effect in Cyrodil to keep from causing more PVP rage.

The post I can actually point to at the moment is here. I could have sworn there was a longer, more detailed writeup of the idea, but I'm not seeing it.

I am not nearly as persistant as Morna, however I like to advocate for followers of Hircine whenever possible.

This idea is great, on lycanthropy side we could have different shapes instead of strains (already established in the lore), werelions in Elseweyr, werebears in Skyrim and Werecrocodiles in Blackmarsh.

As far as cosmetic items... changing fur color sounds simple enough and costume slot would take care of it

So give us some love too, not just the leeches....
...oh I mean the great Vampire Lords!
