Hello all,

My name is Shebali and I hope you enjoy running around in PVP as much as I do. I have been lurking in the shadows in mmos for awhile. I love small fights and fighting against sides with larger numbers. While the enemy starts to zerg I pick an area which has a target rich environment, you might see me around. While playing Warhammer online the term shebali'ed came around and was used a lot in zone chat and the game.
I love picking out higher pvp rank players, along with better named players and not your lowbies/ noobs.
This video I am setup to kill targets in 3/ 2 moves. The TTK goes from .3 seconds to 1.4 seconds.
2 shot = .3 second, but no ult regeneration.
3 shot = 1.4 seconds, but will always have ult.
4 shot = 1.6 seconds, best used with targets over 3.4k HP
I will try to answer most questions.
Enjoy,
Shebali

I use DW right now with even more damage out put and 4 med. DW passives need to be reworked along with all other ones. Reason why I liked staff is for weaving auto attacks into funnel for those DK that spam melee attacks. Don't forget all that impulse spam too.

So if I'm getting this right what you're doing is:
    1) Ambush
    2) Soul Harvest
    3) Impale
When you have no Soul Harvest, you use Funnel Health instead.

Do you queue Ambush and Soul Harvest? Because they seem to land almost at the same time. Anyhow, I see a build with nearly 2.45k magicka and probably into the spell damage soft-cap.

I know you've put a disclaimer and all, but I think the amount of damage dealt combined with the stun, basically leaves your victims with very low, if not 0 chance of survival. 1.6s TTK as worst case scenario, is very very low. I'm not sure that's necessarily healthy for the game but hey, that's nothing to do with you, you do the best you can.

Out of curiosity, what is your KDR when coming out of stealth? I'm not talking about getting nailed by another player coming for help, but the player you actually ganked. Of course you need to exclude the scenarios where there's two of you. Basically, if you gank somebody do you feel there's at least a small chance they might recover and win, or do you feel it's almost a guaranteed kill? Honest question here

Well, most nights I die around 2-3 times. On a bad night with lag and crashes 5 times. I get around 200-400 kills for a pvp night. If a target has less than 3k HP they are dead 95% of the time unless my mouse dies or lag/ moves does not fire. The more HP you have the better your chance to not get blown up. If you are over 3.5k you might be able to spam a good move take a pot and fight back some.

This problem is because players want to do huge damage and run low HP glass cannon. That is not the choice of the game, but of the players. When I see a high rank pvp player with 2k-3k HP, my goal is to remind them of the poor choice they made, even if they are around 20 of their best friends.

I understand, but to be honest it's not as simple as you put it.

Firstly, due to Heavy Armor being (to be polite) sub-par for PvP, everyone is wearing light or medium and thus does not have enough mitigation towards these strikes. Also with sharpened weapons you can completely bypass the mitigation anyway, so this is a case of one design flaw over another.

Secondly, the skill Radiant Magelight which is supposed to mitigate damage you take from stealth, stops working 10 mins in the game so it's a useless skill.

Also, I don't think 3k is glass cannon as you put it. In fact, I don't think your build with 1.2k stamina is any less of glass cannon than a build with <3k HP. You might need nothing into your stamina as a ganker and thus be able to channel everything into HP and Mana but for a lot of other people block is the best mitigation (due to the issues with armor mitigation mentioned above) and that's pretty stamina intensive.

This is why a lot of people put 1.7k-1.8k into stamina and have around 3k health. Because, believe me, in combat you are actually more tanky with heavy magicka and mid stamina & health than heavy health and no stamina. Because you can block for longer.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, good job mate nice video :)

Heavy armor makes a huge difference when I attack a target. My damage is based off of armor mostly. When I attack a target with high armor I do about 800-900 out of sneak vs 1300-1400. That is huge. The problem is, if i see the target has a lot of armor, I will use funnel which still hits for 1k +.

Definitely a poor choice versus lurking NB's, but hard to do differently if you want to contribute in larger fights. As a non-stealth class with 0 escapes, you cant have over 3k hp. You need at least 1.7-1.8k stamina to block, Immovable, dodge and cc-break. That does way more for once survivability than few hundred extra in health.

Really cool video though. So refreshing to see a Nightblade that's not instagibbing with bow and Lethal Arrow macro lol.

Except no one gives a *** about being picked off by 1 guy. Dropping some health for stam/magicka is beneficial to a lot of builds in most situations - let me gimp myself real quick so I don't get picked off when I'm running solo (you'll never get anyone in a decent group) in the middle of nowhere, wouldn't wanna die now, those horrible consequences...
I always laugh when NB's are proud of killing one guy from stealth when they specifically build for it, like congrats - that's the only thing you're trying to do, you should at least be able to do it.

Cute vid btw...try running into an actual battle sometime :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Basically this, yes you blow up a single player. I find it hard to believe you pick of 200-400 people in night.... that sounds like you're blowing smoke in your current build.

Ganker crushes single people, news at 11. People who run less than 3k health (I run more btw) aren't making a "poor" decision that you need to "remind" them of (holy *** the ego on this guy), they are making a valid decision to focus on larger group fights where less health is better for overall performance while allowing themselves to be more vulnerable to a gank from stealth... see the difference?

I'd like to twist tables by OP's logic.... maybe show a video of you in a fight beyond stealth ganking and then we can "remind" you how "poor" a build you are using when you basically do not provide any benefit to group play, utility, etc. and become useless (hopefully you see my point here). You gank very well, do not let that go to your head or think somehow everyone else must play like your style and that they are bad players for not.

edit: with half the fights you hitting someone on a horse and ulti dropping....

Not trying to hate, but I guess I don't really understand the point. Nice editing though, although equating yourself to a terrible sequel might have been a poor choice :p

Not sure who you are talking to, but since it followed my post I'll bite. I am not hating, I am pointing out a rampant hypocrisy in OP's posts in this thread that it borders on cognitive dissonance.

That and I find a video half filled with horse ganks + ulti drops kind of boring, show me some hard fights, some that didn't go according to plan. Something where you showed me something, not 3 buttons to someone on a horse, 1 being your ulti. That may just be me, but its boring. And like I said, he's a great ganker, no doubt, but the whole video is extremely repetitive.

You did make a good point though, how anybody plays doesn't matter. Play the game you want and have fun, but be damn sure I'll call you out on BS hypocrisy about "poor" choices of builds, health, etc. when all the person claiming it does is run ganks on horse players banging ultis on them.... see what I mean hopefully?

I kill on avg of 3-4 hours of play 200-300 players. My spec gives me more than enough mana for long fights. I kill a target go into sneak, open kill the next person, go into sneak, kill the next person etc... I have 100+ mana return plus 200 on killing a target. I get fine in group fights and have a solid self heal for 300 non crit 600 crit every few seconds.

Just like in WAR, you could be in the best 6 man or whatever. If I wanted a target/ healer dead, they were dead. I would have to use timing and positioning just as I use now. But, I never have any huge problems with killing a target.

Not the point - you're getting into the fight for a second or two and then running back out...if you tried running headlong into a zerg, even with a group, you'd blow the *** up.

And I've never played WAR, but no, this is not like that. You would not kill me running with 5 of my guildies unless both myself and the healer(s) were afk.

You must have some good healers who can heal in .3 seconds. So lets do the math. 1300+ 2300 in .3 seconds. With lag and the game you will be dead. Bubble spam can help, but I pick my targets and attack at the right time. The one thing that does save someone in a group is the bad soft target and someone walks in the way.

Entertaining video, really enjoyed it and the music as well.

Just one question, couldn't most players with the same spec pretty much do the same thing you are doing or is there more to it that we can't see?

I think you have to be a little vain, you know, to bother recording it at all.

Damage is the biggest difference. My spec and gear is not normal. Most would be 10-15% short other 20% short on damage and that is really where this spec starts to work vs anyone, grouped or not.

Gotta laugh at some of the comments in this thread. It's like folks don't understand what ganking is about. The video is a highlight reel of ganks.

Of course Shebali is going to get blown up if he runs headlong into a zerg. Anybody would, so what does that prove?

That said, as somebody that groups with him regularly, I've seen him pick people off in the middle of a large group (both during fights & if they're just standing around) and then get away. As far as group fights go, it's all about focusing targets, using LOS, kiting, and having utility skills on the second bar. We've held our own against larger numbers plenty of times and it's pretty funny when a pack breaks off from a zerg only to find themselves whittled down to nothing but corpses. I find these kinds of fights way more enjoyable than running around in a zerg lagging the server.

Just imagine the hate when people find out he's putting up those big numbers while wearing green ge ... oops...
Unsubbed and no longer playing, but still checking the Alliance War forum for the lulz.
