First, I do not have a problem with role players, there are several in our guild and we support them even though most of us do not get involved with their play.
Several of us got to talking and realized that when Imperial City comes out the role players are going to flock to it (when their faction owns it i suppose). Some of you, at least on the DC side, may see the role playing group(s) that appear in Cyrodiil from time to time; they usually involve something along the lines of one elaborately named, maybe wizard-looking, person seeming to read a scroll to a squad of elaborately named non-PvP players.
The issue I foresee centers on the balance of power being population based. I am certain we have seen at least 40 role players on a busy server and they unfortunately do not add anything to defense, not even as fodder as they simply run away (obviously no offensive use); i am sure there are exceptions.
The PvPers may in fact be diluting the campaign for DC NA, not certain though we have started to wonder how DC can be pop locked and still be clearly out numbered...
