armor preview

I can't be the only one peeved that there is no way to preview armor without actually wearing it and then making it bound to you. Every other game I play, allows preview.

Is it coming???

and in the interim is there anyone out there capturing armor sets? Im looking for images of Night mother armor before deciding if I want to sell it or keep it. but its not the only set Ive ended up being unable to sell on the market because my curiosity got the better of me. also supposedly we can create armor sets. why would I want to do that when there is nowhere to see what its going to look like before I waste my materials?

trying to love this game more than my others but so many simple things make it frustrating. like gathering things you cant sell because they are worth 0. deconstructing something I found but because its worth 0 I dont get any materials out of it.

and my own home. MY OWN home. always had this with elder scrolls and not having it is a loss.

plus the grouping system is a joke. You have to wait and wait to see if anyone will group. how about a system that groups like leveled players or even first come first serve and then puts you in the darn dungeon. man its so time consuming to have to travel somewhere when all you want to do is get in the dungeon. I know. I sound like Im 12. but Im 56. been playing games for over 30 years. Im used to a standard from Elder scrolls.

Agreed about armor preview. It would be nice to have some preview in game. Meantime, do a little searching and you will find plenty of places on the internet to give you visuals of armor if you want them...

Nobody would dislike the idea of armor preview system. Except developers because it would take them a lot of efford to make an armor preview system. But is it necessary? I don't think it's highly necessary but a lot of people would like to have an armor preview system, especially when there're tons of different armor and 14 craftable styles.

Not sure it would take that much time to develop a preview system, I mean the armour is your inventory already, so all the game needs to do is show you what you would look like wearing it. I'm not saying it's a five minute job, but the majority of the coding is already there, it happens when you wear the armour, they just need a subset that shows the look without actually changing your setup.

And I agree most of us want an armour preview, it should have been in the game from launch, it's an RPG and an MMO standard these days.

Yeah, I'd really like a quick and easy way to preview armour - I'd like to be able to preview armour I'm about to craft so I know whether or not I want to make it.

This was mentioned at the guild summit. They want to add this to the game also, and with the costumes/pets/collections all being put into a special "wardrobe" type tab, it is just a matter of time before this feature is added.

Just to add something else, on the slide that showed this new "wardrobe" style feature there was a paper doll on the left side of the screen, character size. In retrospect I should have mentioned it, and no one else mentioned it either, but it did actually look like something you would put clothing on. So I'm assuming it's attached to viewing costumes and disguises. Which means it's literally 1 step from being able to do the same with armor.

I dont see a way to reply to a particular persons reply like we can in other forums either...so just want to say to Soulshine, thanks for that link. I did search for a particular set and found a 100 different images none of which ended up looking like the item I had. very unreliable. Ill check out this link though.

and ditto for weapons..Im used to being able to preview that as well before crafting in any other game. both guildwars and warcraft have wardrobe and preview options. ESO should have come out of the box with it.

I second your request for having a way to preview gear (weapons and armor) in game.

Improvements to the LFG tool and grouping system are always in the works, and we've been told that some will be coming soon.

It's actually quite annoying when the Armour crafted doesn't resemble the icon. When one of my Alts wears Bosmer Jacks, for which the icon looks like a sleeveless vest, she is wearing a "boob-wrap" thing, which frustrates me a lot, I'd rather have the sleeveless vest.

I +agree OP. This is a pretty basic feature for a game with bound items. For crafted gear I find myself crafting dummy gear just to check what it looks like.
