I think once spellcrafting comes out classes will be pretty moot, and it will become apparent that the four classes introduced were a short-sighted design that went about giving people a template the wrong way.
It would be cool to create a new class option:
1. All Classes have 3 Skill Lines.
2. Custom Class, thus has 3 lines.
3. The player will choose the 3 lines.
Question, would this be good or bad overall for the game?

Everyone who played the previous 3 tes games knows you started out as a class which laid down the framework of your initial playstyle, but it did not mean you would always have to be that way. A Crusader (what I would consider a good template for Templar) started out one way, but could certainly end up as a wizard by end game if you wanted to.
