Suggestions for increasing Templar DPS- (and some tips for current settings)

Ok, tips first.
Power of the Light is theoretically the Templar classes highest "damage" ability, the only problem being it only works as well as the group you are with. While this technically doesn't improve your DPS output, it will drop heavy hitters faster.
Aurora Javelin is the best ranged spam attack. This does require you to be at long range, though, for the increased output. This does have a good bit of magicka cost to it.
Biting Jabs is the stronger DPS morph for Puncturing Strikes, but requires the target to be low in health for the extra output. This can help with downing bosses quickly though.- To increase this output, use the Shadow mundus stone.
Entropy, and its morphs, are very low cost DoT's that you can use to proc the Might of the Guild passive, that will increase your spell damage 20% for 8 seconds after casting. Magicka Controller will increase your output and magica regen slightly as well.

My suggestions are as follows:
  • Change the DoT extra damage from Vampire's Bane to upfront damage. As the choice stands, you can have a multiDoT that snares all the enemies it damages or a skill that does a little extra damage over a longer period of time. There' s not much offered in they way of higher DPS in either choice. Putting the extra damage on the initial contact makes the Vampire's Bane choice more appealing for DPS output.
  • Change Biting Jabs to have a higher chance of proc'ing Burning Light. I would much rather have an overall higher consistent damage output than a skill that only helps when the enemy is low on health. Change to the skill to have a 40% chance of using Burning Light, instead of the 70% crit rate against low health enemies.
  • Reduce the cast time on Solar Flare and Dark Flare. Slight change in cast time would make this more usable against heavy hitters.
  • The entire Dawn's Wrath line should have extra damage to undead and daedra in one of the perks.

    VB would be then cheap, instant cast ranged attack hitting for over 700 damage. There is still some cast and flight animation (which is slow as snail), but anyway you could have enough fireballs in the air to kill player within couple of seconds.
    DoT of Sun Fire (both morphs) should either stack a few times or tick for shorter time but higher damage. Making it upfront damage would be too much.

    I think overall power of jabs (both morphs) is okay, but the skills are bit overloaded with functions. If they were bit cheaper but without AoE or knockback (or one could do just AoE while another just knockback), they would be more appropriate.

    Above all though, I would like to see Focused Charge fixed (both bugging out and self-stun). NB's Ambush is basically same type of skill and works much smoother, so obviously it can be done.

    The percentage of extra damage, not the total amount of the extra DoT damage. The initial impact should do more based on the percentage.
