Request for an update to (8) crafted item set bonuses.

Hello, I've been an avid crafter since day 1 of the game. I've always enjoyed being self sufficient and making my own armor. It is however a little disappointing that now I've got most of my pieces to 8 trait research, the armor sets are not very good in terms of set bonuses.

My own armor that I use is 4 pieces of a 2 set. Now come on.. it's taken months to get to this point, renewing research whenever I can. I feel 8 set crafted items should be at least considered as useful or an option.

Quite frankly, other than for a sense of completion there is currently no real point researching beyond 6 traits. Also greater variation is never a bad thing and extra choices please everyone.

I'm sure there is more important things to do but after a discussion on my guild chat last night I did feel that I wasn't the only one who was feeling a sense of anticlimax.

Let's face it, the 8-trait sets currently available are garbage. Seducer is one of the best (for mana management) and that is 3 traits.... go figure. I'm only still researching traits in the hope that one day this becomes as important as trial drop loot for the 'elite'.

The 9 trait set, Twice-Born Star, will be decent. Of course, researching all the nirnhoned items won't be an easy (or short) task, so I'm not sure if it will be worth its price right away.

Hmm... Then lets say you're at final research and already have 8 on each. Even with the skillpoints put in to cap it for 30 days max - if you'd want to research all pieces you're looking at months for that...

Except for Spectre's eye all the 8 trait sets are crap, and Spectre's eye is bugged to proc with almost any action (Wouldn't be that bad if the noise it made wasn't annoying as heck).

It goes without saying that the months of research time should have some tangible reward. At the moment all that research gives you the ability to make armor that is hard to give away. Seriously the bonuses are so laughably useless, that if you got them as a drop, they'd be considered vendor trash.

For me the 8 Trait Sets are something I will use 2 pieces at time for extra health or mana recovery. But that is about it. And it's tough to give up the 3 to 4 piece set like Magnus Gift or Song of Lamae or Torugs Pact which are 3 and 5 trait sets. Or Hundings Rage...

Come to think of it, every 2 to 6 trait set offers better bonuses in either the partial sets or full 5 piece.

I would love for a seven trait set or improvements to eight trait or even better more crafting sets in general. Right now I have all light armor pieces with 7 traits, medium armor with 6 traits with a few 7 traits and healing staff and two handed at 7 traits as well. Instead of being reward for reaching this far, I have to wait about a month just to get 8 traits in three items!!! That means I have wait three months to get a full set light armor to 8 trait just to find out that the 8 trait items are not that rewarding. I wish they could of made the 8 trait sets more rewarding than actually making a 9 trait set.
