Why not make buffs linked to guilds, not PvP?

So with all this nonsense about "Don't hold a PvP server just for the buffs to do your PvE", my suggestion would be to redo the guild system.

Five Guilds, sure. However the guilds have to list themselves as PvE, PvP or Trade. Each kind get different buffs. For a PvE guild you get buffs out of PvP and for a PvP guild you get your buffs in PvP. Trade guilds maybe you get some perk to help your mercantile. To do this though there would have to be a limit on one PvE guild, one PvP guild, and as many trading guilds to fill up the rest of the slots. Some people might not like this, but every other MMO that has been successful has kept guilds to a minimum in one way or another.

It would fix a lot of issues, because PvE guilds would want the PvE buff and PvP the PvP buffs etc. Would promote guilds and keep PvP less monopolized for the buffs.

Other suggestions to fix the buff issues without getting rid of buffs? I'd love to hear them!

    TBH horrible idea. Want to hear another solution? PvP buffs only for PvP. No one have any buffs outside Cyrodiil. Solved.

    Yep. PVP buffs outside of cyrodiil are nonsense. Please just remove them all together, otherwise even disabling buffs transferring pvp servers still wont solve the problem of 1 faction or another steamrolling a server to get those stupid buffs.

    Buffs will be local to the campaign only for PvP only, they are still considering how to handle buffs for PvE
    Anti-tunneling boundaries and ways to block exploits where players wiggle through terrain objects and get underneath the world.
