Dyes suggestion

Cuddlecalf
Hi,
this is my stealthy nightblade on low/high settings.

Is it just me, or does the first one look better colorwise? Now, I`m no expert on colors. But if there's a realistic way to surpress my armor reflecting the light so strongly (thicker layer of dye, more absorbing dye or whatever), then it would be sweet if it is implemented in the game as an option. What do you think?

It's a matter of opinion. Personally I prefer the sheen effect on heavy armour, it makes it seem more....... Armoury.

But I suppose Devs could give you the option for a Mat finish, but it would have to be for all your colours, or none.

Personally I like the dyes as they are, but as I said it's a matter of opinion.

When I think of 'stealthy' then the first one fits that profile.

However, as a bit of a magpie with severe 'shinyitis', I do love the shiny look better! :D
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I about had a blood vessel rupture in my eyes looking at those screenshots.

Oh, I mean, I would love to be able to tone down the shiny crap on a lot of light armor. Too much of it does that. I don't like armor that looks like it is made for Elvis.

You have to experiment with a lot of the colors to actually find one that is deep enough in hue to not go all "elvis" when applied, hehe. There are some that turn out darker than others and don't give off that look. On the other hand, I agree that the sheen is sometimes rather non-sensical. Personally, I do like it on heavy since heck, it IS supposed to be plate, or at least that is how I link of it in my mind... but light armor with sheen makes it seem all J-lo, and who needs that? ;)
