Probably around the time 1.5 gets to pts, say mid October?.

Just to be fair, I don't remember if they actually promised one road ahead per month, or if they just said regularly.

It was a mutually beneficial initiative on their behalf and i am happy they took it. On a PR level alone, they were a step forward for ZOS. Since they did take that step, and on their own initiative, they are now burdened with continuing it. It has nothing to do with promises;

what it does have to do with, is the sense of the company being financially healthy/secure, since that is what outlining lengthy plans entail
what it does have to do with, is patterns. In terms of progression (updates/contents/direction).
These "Road Ahead"s start being less frequent or even irregular, is when one needs to start dissecting and reading between the lines. Not good.

I am guessing the next Road Ahead will be published next week, either October 8 or 9. It will accompany Update 5's deployment to the PTS which I don't think will be held back much longer. The Guild Summit this week is why both items likely are not coming this week.

As someone who does PR for a similar situation, I can say one thing you're not, @Aenra. The lack of continued "updates" show you the stability of project success. Before anyone talks about bugs, projects have nothing to do with them. So as we see more systems released, we have less to talk about. You also have the fact that they spilled a lot of information at QuakeCon to Update 5, 6, and likely 7. So they put the horse before the cart. We know what's being worked on.

As they complete projects that were likely part of the conception of the game, you will see less and less "Road Ahead" letters, because projects will take longer to first conceive. But I don't think we're close to that for ESO. In fact, Road Ahead letters were planned every 4 to 6 weeks. "Planned." Not guaranteed. And they are still on target.

i did not pose (i lack both the means and any such intention) a frequency for road ahead announcements. I merely said that from regular to i-rregular can pose as indicative of shifts, alterations. Is that so hard to comprehend?

Unless that is you believe people have nothing better to do than think the best and assume the noblest of intentions from game developers. Because heaven forbid anyone, ever has ever been lied to, or given the false impressions.

Devs have already said it would be between 1.5 on PTS and 1.5 on Live like it has always been.

Ouch! Yeah, it's not a good sign that these grow more and more sparse. I suppose the guild summit where they are repeating the same info from Quakecon to a few lucky golden apples makes up for it. Or not.

They aren't growing sparse. They come out before every patch. Though it is not exactly monthly and they should take that monthly thing off there.

Frankly, with all the new venues for getting out information, I don't find that I am missing The Road Ahead. We are getting better information from closer to the source. When that was not happening, The Road Ahead was important. Now, it is not so important.

Usually after they have done an update they take a little longer to do a road ahead it seems, which makes sense since people are playing the new content
Hopefully see one in early-mid October
