Can there please be a fix soon for Shadow Image?

For those who don't know what Shadow image is, It's a morph to the ability Summon Shade. What it does is that it allows the player to teleport back to the shade they created. Sounds cool and very useful right? well it isn't. (note: This ability works very well in PvE, not so much in pvp)

The reason why it needs an update is because when you are trying to teleport back to the shade it takes about 4-5 seconds to do the animation and then another second or two to actually go back to the shade. When you are in the middle of a battle you will probably get CC'd, wont teleport back and it will take away the one time teleport.
All that really needs to be done to make this ability morph not completely useless is to teleport the caster back half-way through the animation. This ability is the keystone to my build, It really allows me to out-play the more buffy builds like DK's (when it works)

please fix Zenimax, it would really help nightblades who want to quickly get out of bad situations (like how sorcerers can bolt escape away)

I use this in pvp and it saves my butt idk how many times bro and the animation is at a click of a button for me but sometimes it seems if your too faraway it doesn't let you teleport back which is dumb but what we should be complaining about here is making it to where you can teleport back to the shadow more than once

Are you sure? most of the time when I try it, its not completely reliable.

i would ask and prefer that my shade be exactly that, a shade, mirror image of my own character with the same exact abilities and looks as i have to completely confuse others, and protect me in pvp and pve. no one would know who the real me was and that also would give us nightblades duel wield balance in pvp because we would be then doing equal damage output compared to the other classes. it would also greatly enhance our survivability.

Gonna necro this thread to see if others are still trying to use this skill?
I tried this in pvp for awhile and it simply failed half the time or more. Sometimes it was no apparent reason. Sometimes because I was getting too far and the shade would teleport to me. Sometimes when it was on a different height than me it wouldnt work. Sometimes being around a corner broke it. It definitely does not seem to normally need line of sight with you to work. I'm able to go out of a postern door (most of the time) then cast it and be back inside the keep. Its just very random when it does or does not work in pvp. In pve it seems to always work unless you run too far from it.

    Yeah, it is very unreliable.
Looks awesome on paper, and I build and entire build around it, but it was usually more painful for me than my enemies. VERY awesome when it worked, though.

I am running dual shades atm, but they are lackluster. If they looked like me, then it'd be a lot more interesting.

Yes, you should be able to teleport back to the shade as many times you want. (coming from a Templar, desperate for buffs for his class)

Survivability in PvP is overrated. Need to kill and kill fast, if you die, respawn, and go kill and kill fast.

If you're goofing around with skills like this, and burning magicka on stuff that doesn't kill players, you're not helping win the battle very much.

Basically, I'd rather take down 4-5 players and die than take down 0-1 player and live.

And this, in my opinion, is what is wrong with PvP. DPS at any cost, even if it kills you. Respawns happen instantly with no penalty and can mostly be done nearby at a forward camp. This takes away all need for planning or strategy and makes it one big zergfest. I tried to like it, I really did, but no. Your typical FPS shooter requires more thinking than Cyrodiil in its current incarnation.

When Shadow Image functions correctly in PvP, it allows me to take down 4-5 players, then live, regenerate, and do it again.
Survivability in PvP is underrated, because people have grown accustomed to the endless stream of Forward Camps everywhere.
Personally prefer not to feed other teams with AP bonuses by sacrificing my life.
