Though I have 5 alts in different classes, I only use them as mules. So I have been playing exclusively as a Sorcerer. As a result I often see other spell animations that I have no clue what they are or do. I tried going to U tube and searched the forums here to figure out what some of them are, but found nothing that helped. I don't know if they are class skills, guild skills, weapon skill or what. Does anyone know of sites that show how the various skills look in action?

I know how pretty much every skill looks, explain what the person did and I could probably help you.

One I saw recently was a shield of some sort I guess...3 circling orbs around the player. Another looks like it may be an ulti...looks like wind in-rushing to fill a vacuum. I've seen Templars shooting a ball of light before going to their lightning jab.

That second sounds like the dragonknight inhale skill.

in-rushing is inhale of DK, Templar shooting reflective light.

Not sure about 3 circling orbs (phoenix strike? :) )

When you get bored, start some toons of different class, its really helpful to know what you are dealing with in combat.

If the three circling orbs were green it is the Sanctuary set.

I think you get 3 orbs per person in your group.

the three orbs can be 3 sets:
    Sanctuary - 3 green orbs
Worms raiment - 3 blue orbs
    Ebony - 3 red orbs

The Worm, Ebony, and Veneer (a third set thats med armor) All drop in vet dungeons, they drop as V5 or V10.). Most people go for them because when you get a 5 set they do stuff like increase max health/magicka/stamina of 12 teammates (in your group)by X they are all very rare drops from bosses and highly wanted by people who want to do trails.

For the Vacuum, As a DK I can confirm it is inhale.

There's a nightblade ability (Drain Power) that produces that inward suction look but its red and black in appearance, whereas the DK version ends in a fire explosion.

It's mostly VR playing there so no. The most VR14s you will ever see in one place. Even Craglorn is less saturated with these overachievers.

The Ball of light the Templar is using is the Sunfire Perk, the lowest choice on the Dawns Wrath Line.

I think the Shield might have been "Defensive Posture" or a morph from the One hand and Shield skill line. I can't actually tell you for certain because I haven't developed either of my Sword/boards up very high.

Hey, hey,hey now! not all of us vr14's are overachievers some of us do read playboy for the articles. Rawl'kha is the best location for everything being so close together. That being said it is the best place to see skill spamming.
