So my so-called "main" makes armor and weapons for my "alt". Today was the third time I made a complete set of armor and weapons for my alt and as is too often the case it took me about 2 hours to do it. I think that amount of time is a bit excessive as I'd prefer spending my game time doing other things.
The reason why it typically takes so much time is because there seems to always be some crafting material that I don't have enough of and of the five guilds I am a member of (three of which are dedicated trading guilds) none of them are selling the material; today it was spidersilk that the guilds did not have. So I spend a bunch of time travelling all over the known world visiting guild kiosks looking for someone who sells the material and that can take quite a bit of time. Or, as happened once, I had to go harvest the material myself as none of the kiosks were selling the material; that takes a lot of time. Then there is the time it takes to find an enchanter who sells glyphs at the level I need, etc.
I'm not complaining really, just a bit frustrated. But I do think the process of crafting could be streamlined a bit to reduce the amount of time needed to complete the entire process. Here are my ideas off the top of my head, you can add your own:
- Put guild kiosks all in one location. You can be creative. Maybe a caravan cross roads, a dedicated trading island.
- Enchanters should sell all levels of white glyphs regardless of which city they happen to reside.
- Allow us direct access to guild banks from the crafting station (like how we have access to our own private banks)
- I make the same armor/weapon set over and over and I dye it the same way each time. Allow us to save the entire dying scheme so that we can apply it as a whole.
- Allow us to set our current armor, weapon styles and dye scheme as a costume so that we can just apply it.
