"Before Ysgramor led the Nord people south, our ancestors flourished in the frozen continent of Atmora, and to this day our people prefer the bitter climes of northern Tamriel. The Dark Elves abide in Morrowind, a harsh land of ashfall and perpetual earthquakes. The Argonians endure the treacherous and impenetrable depths of Black Marsh. The alliance between our races was born in dark times, when Nord, Dunmer and free Argonians fought as one to repel the invasion of the Akaviri slavemasters. Our greatest strength is the adversity we have overcome. Our resolve is glacial, our might is forged in fire, and our courage, cultivated by the beasts of the jungle. We are Ebonheart. We are as one. And by this, our victory is assured."
―Blood For The Pact!, Jorunn the Skald-KingNurnhilde Fist lore/Founding: While perhaps no one will ever know the true reason as to why the splinter group of the Ebonheart pact army, named after the late Queen Nurnhilde came to be. Many reports seem to indicate that the reasoning for this section of the army came from Jorunn or his advisors themselves. Throughout the time that the newly forged alliance has existed, the Ebonheart pact had faced already more challenges than they had ever expected which caused fear and terror throughout the regions in which the three races lived, Skyrim, Morrowind and Blackmarsh. Several of these challenges the three races managed to overcome or are still facing to this day were the Stormfist Brigade, a Nord clan whom declared that Jorunn's twin brother was the true High king of Skyrim despite that Jorunn had defeated his twin brother in single combat which led to the prince's exile. Alongside a clan of Orcs, Fildgor Strong-Prince succeeded in stealing the body of his sister, the late Queen Nurnhilde from her resting place. It was only due to combined efforts of the three races as well as the help of a mysterious hero this tragic event was brought to a grinding hold and the late queen, returned to her rightful place among her ancestors.
It is believed that this event was the stepping stone to the foundation of Nurnhilde's Fist and that now both Cultists and Reachmen and the two opposing alliances were knocking on the doors of the respective races homelands. A force had to be created to deal with these threats within the borders, while still serve as army in the Cyrodiil conflict.
The Five Hundred involvement: Nurnhilde's Fist is rumored led by a band of Nord warriors whom had already wandered through Skyrim in service of Jorunn and the Pact under the alias of "The Five Hundred" It is believed that due to the Companions being occupied as Jorunn's personal guard and on their own quest to recover the shattered pieces of the legendary axe: Wurthgard. That the group was approached by Ambassador's of the pact and a deal was struck. Resulting in Brynwulf Mer-Bane to take on the mantle of Commander with his closest kin taking on the mantles as his most trusted Captains and Veterans within the Nurnhilde's Fist.
Deployment: As it stands, Nurnhilde's Fist is gathering recruits to fill its ranks on request of the military advisors within the borders of the Rift, while also protecting the ongoing reconstruction of Nimalten, Rorikstead, Geirmund's and Riften. Making sure that no tragic events will repeat itself within the already damaged Rift, while also keeping trouble within the working areas to a minimal. Breaking up brawls to even hunting down nearby Giant camps who bring their mammoths dangerously close to these settlements.
Once the branch has grown with enough numbers, progress shall be made toward joining the masses of the Ebonheart Pact army within Cyrodiil.
Nurnhilde's Fist: As the introduction most likely has already explained in large, the concept of the Nurnhilde Fist is to act as military/army and potentially even guard guild within the EU – EP, a project which will work closely with another project both The Five Hundred and this guild will be involved with, EU – RP Town's project aka Rift's pride. (See link:
http://tinyurl.com/pyqfdpy )
The plan for the guild is to offer military RP within the Ebonheart pact, its events will vary from PvE events within Ebonheart pact's own borders, to RP – PVP events in Cyrodiil or even the opposite alliance zones if there are enough Veteran rank members to actually go there. Trainings and other more casual events will naturally be done as well.
Do you not already lead a guild?: Yes, I, aka Brynwulf do Icly also lead the guild. The Five Hundred, a Nord group of Rpers who've been around since launch. However with the creation of this guild which will be guided by not just myself, but also my officers such as
@Mesarko but also by Ex-House Koragg member and EP advisor.
@Lhetander. The Five Hundred will remain as they are, though will be worked into this project and guild on the reason that EP's population is in dire need of a EP army guild and racial guilds like The Five Hundred cannot produce large enough amount of members to properly put down RP – PVP events, this guild also gives the opportunity for all the races within the pact to combine and truly bring that Pact RP to the table and the project. You can find me ingame under the username
@Kheldoric505Ranks and structure: The guild itself as it stands will be led by myself and the beforehand mentioned officers, the idea is to eventually also create a council much like the Ebonheart pact itself, consisting of a Representative of each of the Ebonheart's races with Brynwulf repesenting the Nords, Lhetander the Dunmer and another candicate the Argonians. The reason behind this is so that Icly, no race is able to completely drown the other in their racial habits and ideals. Giving Brynwulf also the opportunity to hear how the two other races of the Pact, would handle various scenario's they'll face. Whether the council members will actually also act as Captains, depends on themselves.
The rank layout is rather simple and will be displayed here starting with Commander, being the highest rank to the lowest.
Commander. (Guild leader)
Advisor (Officer)
Captain (Military officer)
Pact Veteran (Experienced Soldier)
Pact Soldier (Official Soldier of Nurnhilde's Fist)
Pact Recruit (New member)
Pact Volunteer (Volunteering soldier)
While most of the rank names speak for themselves, I'll quickly shine more light on the Volunteer rank: Due to the current low-medium population on EP. We figured it would be a smart idea, especially due to a lot of established Rpers already having loyalties to other particular guilds to grant those Icly interested but whom also have other commitments to take on the role as a Volunteer, this would mean that they would function as regular Soldiers but won't follow as strict of a duty service as the regular soldier. They also cannot be promoted or advance on the rank ladder as result. Signing up as volunteer doesn't mean you can walk in and out as you please. You're expected to attend mandatory trainings and when deployment is required, serve as regular Soldier within missions and Cyrodiil.
Uniform: After a long debate, we voted that uniforms will be mandatory, however also are well aware that many established EP members have already spent a lot of gold on legendary/Epic gear and prefer not to change to a different style. Because of this we have decided to follow a color sheme fitting the Ebonheart pact soldiers, and would prefer it if the EP races dressed accordingly to their race, though naturally there is room for mixing and matching, Tabard is a must on duty. We however expect that our members will follow the rules of realism and stay true to the Pact colors and gear. In other words. We'll not allow Soldiers to run around in a dyed Daedric/Dwemer set. See example:
Vampires/Werewolves: We briefly shared our opinions on this subject and quite quickly came to a agreement when it comes to the supernatural beings such as Vampires and Werewolves. The army itself will not accept Vampires within its ranks, the reason for this is that a lot of the operations and even general guard duty will happen throughout the day. The chance of revealing yourself or turning into ash is too much of a hassle we wish to handle with this type of RP. Werewolves however have an easier time staying under the radar and thus are accepted. Shape shifting in an event or if it becomes known of your curse. You'll be removed from the ranks and fitting IC consequences will be put into action.
Rules: 1. Respect your fellow guild and community members, the guild will not stand for public insults made for one another. If you have issues with people, take them to private or bring them to the officers/leadership.
2. Do not metagame, power play, break lore or bend lore to fit your prefered result. We take pride in our quality roleplay and will constantly try to keep it that way.
3. Be active, while I do not mind alts. I am expecting members to show interest and activity within the guild and the progress we make. If you plan to leave for awhile. Please let this be known. When it comes to PvE/PvP events. We like to know on how many we can count on.
