Is anyone able to give me some advice on hitting 1000 sustained DPS against bosses in the trials?
I know a few people who can and they are dual wield nightblades like me. I am only able to get between 400 to 800 and it's never consistent.
I would like to know what armour sets I should use and what abilities to use.

KleanZlate✭✭✭I'm actually one step behind you but I'm also interested in putting my DW NB in Trials but I've been hearing stories that medium armored DW NBs aren't exactly welcomed in Trials groups. What is the best way to measure your sustained DPS?0 -
Tigeracer✭✭✭✭That's a lie about medium armoured DW NBs not being welcomed into trials groups, I haven't had a problem yet. Maybe some people are like that, but I haven't come across any yet.
Best way to measure sustained DPS is with FTC framework. It tells you your DPS.0 -
KleanZlate✭✭✭I have the FTC framework and I find it hard to use the number that whiz through the screen to measure sustained DPS as I'm more focused on the battle than the numbers. Is there a feature I'm missing from FTC maybe?
PS. Good to know medium armor NBs are welcomed in Trials. Now I guess It's just a matter of finding a good PvE guild.0 -
Tigeracer✭✭✭✭If you have FTC, look at the top left of your screen, it will have a dps, hps and tps meter. At the end of the fight, look at the dps. That's it

shadowz081✭✭✭As some friendly advice, I would also use a range weapon as a secondary weapon or have some option where you are more than 10 meters away from the thing your fighting, because some of the bosses is trials are REALLY NOT melee friendly and could easily one hit you if you get into range.0 -
Tigeracer✭✭✭✭I am using a bow as my secondary, but the damage output for my bow is way lower. Still, I would really like to know what set up I should be using to be hitting 1k sustained DPS...Hell, I'd even take 900 consistent, sustained DPS.0

shadowz081✭✭✭Can't you just theory craft? As a hunch I would say it has something to do with med armor, hunding rage, weapon damage on robust jewellery and poison arrow spam.0

✭✭✭✭✭I have been able to get 800+ using a pure Magic/Resto Staff/Light armor build with a VR14 Night blade. I would be happy to give some more details if needed. It is completely counter intuitive, but it does work. Funnel Health is your main spam DPS, Crippling Grasp is the Main DoT/opener, and Impale is your Closer. You need to be practiced at animation canceling to mix in light attacks and be liberal with spell crit potions. I haven't taken it to trials yet, but I am getting between 800 and 1.2K on trolls and mammoths assuming I successfully weave a light attack into every ability.
I was never able to get close to this with dual wield. I was closer with bow, but resto staff seems to be best even though I don't use any of the abilities on my bar.0 -

I have full legendary. Vr 14 gear, full medium armor and dual daggers all with legendary enchants. Ive studied my build very well before I improved all to legendary ofc. I have 5 set hunding rage, 4 set ashen grip and 3 set shadow walker (jewelry). Those sets are one of the best (if not the best) for dps. I have precise traits on daggers and the shadow mundus stone with 4 divine traits in armor. I have weapon power enchants on all 3 jewelry.
I cant think of anything that would give you 1k sustained dps and I dont know anyone who can.Hota'h, Dual-wield/bow full medium armor NB Khajiit from day 1.
