Haven't Played In 3 Months, What Has Changed?
Hey there. I loved ESO when it dropped. Took my Khajiit Dragonknight and played through the game. Once I hit Veteran Rank 1 I joined a PvP guild and went for Cyrodiil.
ESO was a lot of fun, but the end game was just non-existent for me. I hate the "Hey, go pretend you're in the other factions" form of end game, leaving me to really only do PVP after hitting Veteran ranks. I mean, if I wanted to play as EP or DC I would have in the first place, right?
I stopped playing at VR4. After PVPing for about a month Cyrodiil got stale and there was no PVE I could enjoy, because I was doing them for the other factions. So I promptly left and started playing WoW, which I love.
I'm wondering what has changed? I didn't want to look through pages and pages of patch notes, so I figured I'd ask you guys for a quick summary.
TL;DR
I stopped playing at VR4 a few months back because end game was awful imo. I like AD and didn't want to pretend I was in EP or DC to do end game PVE. I PVP'd a lot, but after a month of just Cyrodiil I got bored. What have they changed over the past 3 months or so and is it worth coming back to?

Based on your TL;DR, I don't think much has changed in your favor specifically.

None of that in ESO. Instead, you are sent by Meridia to cleanse the remaining parts of the world of Molag Bal's influence. In addition to being able to acquire over 120 Skill Points from these "Veteran Zones" you are also able to find more and better gear, and materials.
2. A couple of the cut-paste dungeons have been re-mapped, a bunch of stuff got nerfed, item sets have all changed. Craglorn has been expanded and made bigger.
3. Only you can decide if its worth coming back to. The entire V10-14 experience is nothing but Forced Grouping over Teamspeak. Different Campaigns, some with Vet Only, some Non-Vet Only, some Mixed.
Nothing "big" changed.

Forgive me if I'm wrong because it's been a while, but doesn't it basically boil down to you go to the other faction's land (I went EP first) where you are somehow disguised so all of the NPCs treat you as if you're part of their faction?
That's basically pretending you're part of the other alliances lol

Arena is fun but very long and cramp rewards - one time deal for most I think
Serpent trial is very difficult and many groups have pulled back groups that were clearing AA and HC ( mine included ) can't even go near the first boss beyond 80%
Nothing really worth coming back for . By looks of participation there will be a lot if 'breaks' happening2 -

Black people on black squares, can't mount my horse in the middle of Cyrodiil, game crashes when about to take a keep, can't change weapons in the middle of a fight, keep running when I don't want to and run off cliffs etc, blinded by all the lights going off even though my setting is set to lowest, no character on the log in screen after crashing, character i'm playing has black and blue face sometimes.
Those are the things I can think of, off the top of my head.
Soo... unless you want to be totally annoyed by what should be the greatest MMO of all time, stay away.1 -
Thanks for all the replies. I have time left so I'll hop on and check some stuff out, but I really don't think there will be anything to make me want to come back "full time"0
