The game crashes, the game lags, the game DCs you a lot. The current mechanic of ticks for AP is flawed because of those things. On top of it the tick reward mechanic seems to be time and radius based meaning that if you are in a keep for an hour defending and then push the enemy to a resource there is a big chance you will get the AP for the resource but not for the hour you spent defending the keep.
This happened to me last night and people were reporting 16k AP in chat when I only got the equivalent of a resource capture because I chased the enemy to the mine.
Further more the bag rewards are also flawed since you changed them last week.After defending for an hour a keep I was only awarded ONE bag...ONE. The same reward you get in 25 seconds of capturing a resource was given for defending a keep for an hour. Got 68 kills solo during that time but no bag for you. I don t care about the gold reward...I don t need gold. What I need are the rewards so I can use them with my professions...screw gold
Then there is the radius issue. I defend for an hour, then port to home to turn in the quest then the siege of that keep is done and I get zero because I am away from the keep. Who thought this was a proper mechanic? It makes no sense and forces people to stay in place waiting for a defense tick which makes no sense. The game should adapt to the players not the other way around on that issue.
REVAMP THE AP TICKS
It is time you revamp the way AP is calculated and distributed. If I gain AP it should go in a pool maintained by the server no matter where I am when the tick happens. If I defend a keep for 3 hours non stop then crash and come back and the fight is over I should not get penalized and get nothing because the game made me crash. My AP and Score should be permanent and stored at the server level no matter if I am close to a resource or crashed
If I break and outer then an inner wall then rush inside a keep only to be killed as the sacrificial lamb by NPCs while my team captures the keep and I res at the camp...then I ride to the keep but hey the tick was already given and screw you for having done all this work to capture the place...you were dead so go **** yourself no soup for you.
The method of giving AP is wrong, it needs to be improved. AP should be calculated per 5 seconds and be awarded no matter where the toon is. There is no reasons to have to stay at a resource waiting for a tick before being able to move. The game itself does not even show the AP given and you have to use addons to see it.
