I leveled my horse for maximum bag space. If I buy a second horse can I continue to get additional bag space? Also, how do stable fees work? I know it's 10 gold. Is it a one time fee or daily? Thank you.

Bag space is per horse and does not stack. Stable fee is one time.

    1. If I buy a second horse can I continue to get additional bag space?
    - No, you swap horses, and only the current horse's abilities apply.

    2. Also, how do stable fees work? I know it's 10 gold. Is it a one time fee or daily?
    - Its a 1 time fee to open a "2nd" horse slot, "3rd" horse slot, etc.

I have a related question to this.

Given: You have a horse with 20 Bag spaces on it, character has 90 Bag spaces, your carrying 105 items.

So, you switch to a horse with no extra bag space, what happens to those 15 items?

Do they disappear, do they stay with the horse that has the extra space? If they do go away somehow, what is the order that they get lost in (FIFO, LIFO etc)?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I haven't actually tried this, but I believe that you just aren't able to switch horses.

    100% correct.

You get an error message on-screen if you try to swap horses: "Not enough bag space" and cannot swap.

Thank you! I've been wondering that too. Not that I have enough money for a second horse for the same character right now...

Keep in mind, that without a horse, you can expand your bags to at least 100 without spending too much gold, and I think 110 or 120 (or maybe more) without any horse.

So, you should not have THAT much stuff that you can't swap, unless you were just adventuring and have all your junk loot still in your bags.

TES games breed packrats. If I showed you some screen shots of the swag that I dragged back to my houses for all the games in the series, your head would explode.

TES players don't approch this like an MMO where if it's not providing immediate use, it gets tossed mentality rules the day. We are more of the, "Cool, something to add to my collection of precious"
