And if so, why heck doesn't have a persistent cookie or something so I don't need to enter my age weekly?

    I'm born on the 1st January for whatever year I scroll down to that I know will make me over 18.

    AHA! I knew I was the only one that used my actual age! Shame on all of you! :P

    Joking aside, I'm fairly certain they need the age gate for legal reasons, but it wouldn't hurt to have cookies so we don't have to reenter the date every time we reopen our web browsers.

    Legally? Yes. Practically? Heck no. Never seen anything close to mature content on here, and there's never been a facebook post yet that didn't have someone posting in it about not being able to get past the gate.

    They have one that prevents you from entering if you entered too young an age. Go test it, its funny. (Then delete your cookies.)

    Yeah, that's one of the things I woory about with Chrome, glad to see my odl fashioned views are not completely useless.

    With all the age gate prompts, I was beginning to wonder if Zenimax starts to recognize who's accessing the site by their birthday. >.>

    I also use my real birthday, at Forty I'm pretty certain I meet all age requirements, except the ones to be cool and hip B)

    Edit~ yes I know nobody uses the terms cool or hip anymore, I was being ironic (I think?, either that or sarcastic, one or the other).

    That's not necessarily true in all instances. Unfortunately there are many 12 year olds that play this game and use mommy and daddy's credit card. I wish that wasn't the case.
