What's the point of trophies?

Honestly, what's the point of these? I appreciate having to collect them to finish up several achievements, I really do and if I had an unlimited amount of storage space I would be more than willing to hang onto them all. I don't though. That being said, what should I do them with?

Personally, I think a better system would be to retain them in something separate from your inventory. Sort of like how barter tokens in Lord of the Rings Online are stored in your wallet, which is has unlimited space.

I have all trophies amd i put them in an alt character. Same as the costumes i wanted to keep. For now i only play with one character, but if i might think of making 7 alts to level i might need to destroy them.

I also hope we can put them in a seperate tab or "bag of collection" in the near future. Same as pets, i wish they where in a seperate (unlimited) storage or collection screen just like SWTOR has. I'd hate to delete the pets, but now they are just in the way.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

They should be a one time use right click and get turned into a skill you can hotkey on the item hotbar.

Then make a special tab in the inventory window for trophy skills and let us put them in the use items hotbar, and we're good.

They couldn't give you a game with fewer bugs in it....

... So they gave you trophies to clog up your limited bank space, instead.

Um, the achievement trophies, the trophies for the achievements, need to be clicked on to get them to register, at which point they Disappear. The only time it becomes a matter of storage is iff you want one for an alt, and the alt isn't high enough a level to use it.

I finally had to delete most of my trophies and my beta monkey to have enough room for my crafting mats and precious items for new characters like filled soul gems, motifs and lower level blue foods.

I agree that Trophies (including pets) should have a separate section of Inventory that has no limit (like Quest Items). Costumes, once their related quest is finished, should also appear under this category if their effect is entirely cosmetic.

I think that the whole point of the trophies, the non-achievement ones, is to give you something different, other than skills, to use. I think they take up space because they expect you to keep what you like and dump what you don't. It's the same philosophy as their idea that PC's only indulge in limited crafts.

That being said I haven't noticed a good use for the Bonesnap Binding Stone or Filvirs Trinkit, nor have I been able to make the Blackfeather Court Whistle work. I sort of gave up on them, I now avoid the other public dungeons, other than to get the skyshard.

You can use Finvir's Trinket to help someone find you in a crowd perhaps. Like if you're buying or selling something face-to-face?
