I don't even want the stupid thing.

I'm just in last-straw-mode and this would be the smallest of token gestures saying "hey, we value your continued support and we're trying." You've a long enough list of broken promises, surely you can keep this one.

Like I say, I don't even want it. But I'm unsubbing in a week if it's not in my mailbox.

It smacks of cheek to me.

It was a carrot they dangled back in August, a month ago exactly, to reward those who had subscribed for three months. Now an additional month has passed, surely with the intent to string along those same subscribers as much longer as possible.

I don't recall any such delay for the Wolfhound the steam subscribers received (which I'll add that I had no quarrel with).

What delays are you talking about? They said we would get it in September, according to my calendars, we are still in September and will be in a week too.

The language used was "Starting in September."

I don't think it was a giant assumptive leap to interpret that as referring to early September, a period which would roughly coordinate with a 3 month subscription (plus the month included in purchase) following launch. I can't for the life of me imagine what takes a month to deliver a pet-version of a creature that has already been animated and exists in game. My point stands, the carrot was dangled just long enough to get another month out of people.

Will I then have to stay subscribed for 8 months before I get the promised 6 month reward?

I'm sorry but starting in September still means any time in September to me. Personally, I'm in no great rush to have another slot in my "pets & trophies" alt's inventory filled.

On a side note, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ maybe you guys should announce stuff like this for the following month. If you had announced this, for example, for early October and released it at the end of September, those who care would be pleasantly surprised and we wouldn't be looking at the umpteenth thread saying "It's Semptember, where's my reward for enjoying your game?".

Starting in September means that the loyalty rewards are starting in September.

I'm sorry but "Starting in September" does not mean "at the Start (or beginning) of September".

So they announce it will be released in September....and people are complaining because they were told in advance of the release... that it's going to be released? Makes no sense. People really confuse me.

I personally get so sick of people whining and complaining, then they 'drop the ultimate threat' of unsubbing if they don't have their demands instantly met.

Please grow up and get some manners.

Ummm. I did say "in a week" which would still be the end of September, for all those who've taken it upon themselves to bend my words to suit whatever self-satisfying retort you so hastily jotted.

I also said I don't care about the pet. It is meaningless, trivial - space in my inventory. Really what I am upset about is playing as a NB. But instead of making that thread, I made this one, because although it is plain to me that NB is going to remain useless for the foreseeable future, ignored through countless updates that I have continued to subscribe to, I figured they could at least follow through with some simple courtesy such as this. Again, just to acknowledge that I'm not paying for bug testing, I'm paying for content updates which was the business model they predicated this subscription upon.

Along the way it occurred to me that the marketing of it was all pretty cynical, which put salt in the wound. It first seemed aimed at those who had been loyal since launch, maintaining their subscriptions, but as the time period gets drawn out further it feels more like a tease to make me keep paying. If you don't see it that way maybe you're less jaded than I.

I've already made my point clearly so I won't flog this horse too much further. I resubbed when you offered the loyalty program because it was a such a nice gesture to long time subscribers (my six month has yet to run out), and despite the sundry problems plaguing this game which remain unaddressed. Now you've left a bitter taste in my mouth, so consider me gone again.

See what I just did? It's called keeping a promise.
