Critical on destruction staff skill tree

I already search and I got both answers : the skills from destruction staff tree work with critical weapon or critical spell ???

Its been this way for a while now.
I can honestly say this because i see destro spells critting alot on my sorcerer.
There is no way i would be seeing the number of critical hits i have been getting for the past several months if they were going on Weapon crit this entire time.I play every class in every situation. I love them all.0
