Im not trying to be rude. However you can beat a DK with reflective scales. Ask your guildies or other pvp people.

Remember if they have no resources they cant cast reflective scale

It's a pretty powerful ability but there are ways to challenge it. DK is one of the only classes in this game that has incredible synergy between abilities and for the most part they all work properly to where they benefit the DK.

When I play my DK that I made at launch and progressed to max level I just feel guilty. I've played all the classes at vet rank and above in PvP. DK is by far the easiest. Not playing my DK helped me progress as a player too and learn newer things. I feel the same way with my Sorc as well.

Though, each class has certain things that make it really powerful and sometimes even cheesy. CHEEESE! oops, sorry.

Imagine though if there were a class shield and instant heal (that didn't require the target to be dead) for Nightblade. I'm almost certain that Nightblade would become the superior class. So there's a fine line between the classes in regards to balance. Sure, it's not incredibly balanced at the moment but it's also not too far off.

Nightblade would be pretty powerful if things would work correctly. Our cloak gives us 2500+ spell resist and armor. Once the spell resist thing is ironed out our class will be pretty tanky. We also gain 10% spell/weapon damage while cloaked and stealthed. We also have one of the best abilities for resource management in the game. Our class has a gap closer which is (Way too) ridiculously powerful, a legitimate execute, a nice AoE fear, one of the best spammable ranged single target abilities in the game (Swallow soul), a pet ability that drains stamina from your target at an alarming rate, an ulti that grants 60% damage mitigation and causes legitimate damage over time, we also have an ultimate that is extremely cheap and effective, and I could go on and on.

Folks could go on and on about the other classes too. They are all pretty nice but some are just a little better than the others. Fixing our abilities should help us out quite a bit and the addition of spellcrafting will be scary. :P Nightblades will then have (I'm assuming since restoration is a major school) an instant heal that doesn't require the target to be dead.

I honestly won't play any other class then Nightblade. Sure, I could make a shiel stack of over 2k with my sorc any day of the week or spam scales but I prefer my current approach with my Nightblade more.

Future looks bright for the Nightblade!

I hear ya. The leveling process is tedious. Maybe grab a friend and hop over to the PTS for some duels? You can make a character that is VR14 there. Maybe test or check out some of the other stuff too. I can't blame you if you don't want to though :P

i would love to but cant get on pts atm duno why,

i guess il try it next time i can get on

now knowing reflect only last 4 secs so i figure they will run out fast or if they are wearing all light i guess that leaves not much stam for blocking.

Timing it and being able to refresh that timer in your head if they recast can usually decide the fight if you're not built to fight against scales.

i think its kinda unfair if ive already shot a snipe and its in the air that they can reflect it tho?

i more commonly kill the Scales spammers than get hit by my own abilities..

maybe its the fact that i have experienced using it myself to know its innate limitations to land a perfectly timed strike the moment it wears off and can easily tell at a glance when it does.

anyways i love fighting DKs with my Sorc in PVP... most dont survive Crystal Shard + Overload without their scales and most cant keep it up long enough to rely entirely on it saving their asses
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

The skill is still bugged, more than 50% of reflected skills didn't do any damage to enemy, i don't understand why everyone complain about that, DK doesn't have any escape ability like nb or sorc, they can engage 30 ppl zerg and escape without any consequence with streak and permanent invisibility from cloak, so how we have supposed to even fight in zerg without reflect from 40 m range crystal fragments with 1k every hit or snipes for 1,7k every hit? First nerf that *** then complain about reflect.

The said 30 man zerg was afk or crashing. Only reason I can think of for a NB to be able to escape that.

First, this question should probably have been posted in either the Combat and Skill Lines or Alliance War sections. Nitpicking aside, I understand where you're coming from with this. Scales will return all ranged attacks without fail, and can seem unbeatable. There are, however, ways to beat it. If you have an area-of-effect move, you can use it freely without fear of it being returned. Melee attacks aren't returned, either, and it's easy to see when a dragonknight has used Scales, so you can wait four seconds and use ranged attacks then if you have no other options. Paying attention to them and being a little patient will get you much farther against them than spamming attacks.

arrow spray is a ranged aoe how does that work ?

    volley ?

Neither arrow spray nor volley should be reflected. I cannot confirm for arrow spray, as I haven't tested it myself, but volley cannot be reflected. If I remember correctly, the tooltip on scales says it will reflect single target attacks back at the caster, so anything with AoE should be fine.
