Props to red and blue factions for the victory. That was the first time I've seen 60 siege weapons on a keep at once, max siege for all.
We held off the first assault by blue when they made 3 breaches in the northeast wall, and pushed them all the way back to Ash.
This was followed by a second assault where red tore open the southeast wall while blue simultaneously blitzed down the front doors.
This is a tribute to Valnas the great NB Emp and a tribute to the devs for the mighty crashes of their game. Thank you, that is all.

I don't think a massive increase in resources and ult generation really helps NBs scale as much as it does other classes, especially DKs and negate spamming sorcs.

I have to agree about NBs, but I think Sorcs can't even get close to DKs when it comes to Emperor effectiveness. Spamming Negates can be fun, but DK Emps are on a different planet.
- Getting Dragon Blood heals for well over 2k by stacking Monarch passive with Burning Heart, even more if you use Igneous Shield.
- Getting Battle Roar every 5 secs in battle by stacking Combat Frenzy II with Authority passive. Especially if you use other means of ult generation or cost reduction like the Akaviri S&B set or Werewolf passive Blood Rage.
The resource management is off the scale. A DK emp that knows how to play his class is an AP-collecting, unstoppable force from Oblivion.EU | PC | AD0 -

Newsflash, streak does not generate ultimate anywhere near as fast since patch 1.4
We're derailing the conversation now but I find it amusing people complaining about Streak spamming. Not only because it's the most expensive ability in the game for repeated use, but because every build rotates around the repeated use of a skill in this game.
- Melee DKs spam Invasion and Flame Whip
- Archers spam Venom Arrow
- Melee Temps spam Blazing Shield
- Healers spam heals
...etc etc etc
What ez was referring to was a Sorc Emperor's ability to generate ultimate very quickly thanks to the Authority passive.EU | PC | AD0 -

EP lost Dawnbreaker 2.0, badly, by focusing so much on Emp and preventing Emp.
That mistake has been learned from. Emperor doesn't win the campaign. Scrolls, Keeps, and maintaining a Points Per Hour lead consistently does.

Speaking to things on the political side of the EP spectrum, it suffers from a couple things --
1. There's no large zerg guild to herd the cats and keep them focused. AD has several, DC has one rather infamous one.
2. The number of organized EP guilds was never high and it's recently declined, seeing TSym go largely inactive and others fielding in lower numbers (but that speaks to the overall state of the game, too).
3. Time To Level - It's an absolute pain in the ass to level an EP toon through the lowbie zones due to widely dispersed, buggy quests. We don't get rerolls and it sucks to make alts.
4. No buff server. It makes a real difference in a fight. When dealing with large groups, small percentages matter. That can make or break a zerg fight. EP are largely homed to Thornblade. DC are homed to Chill except for the leaderboard, and same with AD and Haderus. I can tell when I'm fighting a fully buffed opponent and it sucks that I am chronically coming at him from an uneven footing.

✭✭✭EP is unlikely to crown more emperors in the future given present trends. That should raise alarm bells for ZOS because of the Imperial City release. We will likely lose at least one buff campaign and that faction will flock to other campaigns, thus reducing the number of EP emperors even further. EP may never set foot in the Imperial City with DC being vanquished from the city not much longer after that. If one or two factions are never able to gain access, then ZOS will have a major failure in its hands.0 -

As for TSYM, it's not surprising they aren't fielding groups anymore. Their playstyle, while effective in what they tried to do, couldn't have been much fun for the players. ya tht looks awful. ehj kind of wrecked them. the leader was claiming we had about 60+people who were all vamps, when we had 20 in group and 4 vamps. we rolled them a few nights and then they decided to go all vamps but we still rolled them. the leader's stream was so much fun to watch. This was the first 4/5ths of my PvP playtime and I finally gave in and started using buff servers once they said fixing this "would take time".
I never even realized I was fighting people with all of these buffs for the longest time, I just figured they were good players. There were some close fights I've lost to really good players that would never have happened today.
