Nightblade's drain power?

More than a minute? Sounds like the ability just bugged out or something - both the feeding and drain essence should only last a few seconds; also, unless things changed since the last time I was a vamp, you can only drain a given enemy once within a certain time frame. And lastly, if you BOTH had the drain animation going on at the same time, that also suggests some sort of visual bug took place. Some of the weirder bugs I've run into tend to only happen in zerg-city though (permanently lying on the ground, allies becoming running corpses with the cross above them even though they rezzed, randomly levitating directly towards a zerg even though nobody used a chain or drawing ability nor did I use a gap closer), and not in isolated gank situations. Also, the untouchable HP thing occurs for a vamp during feeding (and to a lesser extent the draining, although in that case HP is actually being refilled), so sounds like the feeding animation/process got dragged out, possibly from a lag spike or whatnot.

But yeah, I'd guess it was just glitchy weirdness - I know, it's hard to believe given how stable Cyrodiil is....

when people come to the forums and make a post saying "NEW VAMP EXPLOIT", because they didn't spend 2 seconds to actually read what skills vampires actually have, then yes.

Actually Nala he didnt state it was a new exploit he used a question mark, so by understanding English an intelligent person would see this as a question, in other words...he is asking what the issue was here and if it was an exploit.

So your desire to try and flame someone for your poor assumption is just very bad and not terrible good natured.

Now seeing as you were not stunned I am under the guise to believe this was drain essence buggin out, he probably used it repeatedly on both of you.

If you were stunned it was probably the vamp drain but that can only be used once every 2-3 mins or something like that.

The question as asked was provocative and attention getting. It's a familiar tactic from certain news outlets in the US which are in the habit of framing outrageous insinuations as "questions" to avoid being accused of bias... "well, we were just asking a question."

The word "exploit" is really a provocative thing these days, with all the attacks and counter attacks flying about. One should be at the very least reluctant to go there. The OP would have avoided this slap fight if he had simply described the behavior and asked what it might be, or, as has been suggested, look the thing up in the first place.

This is no doubt something that should be looked into, but can we just stop with the personal attacks for once? Sheesh...

And a tip to OP-- post questions about skills in the "combat skills and trees" section of the forums, and leave "exploit" out of the title if you don't know if it's an exploit or not; it actually hurts the chances of people reporting actual exploits to be taken seriously by the community/devs.

Drain Essence normally lasts for 3 seconds, the new exploit is you can bug it with block which breaks it early (stops the stun) but keeps the regen.

Which means you recovery lots of health and stamina while in range of the player or mob you triggered it on. I am guessing it will be hot fixed soon

..how do you drain more than one at a time? You can only target one mob/player at a time ...but if possible i certainly would like to know.

Again I never said that, I asked if anyone had seen what we had experienced and if it is indeed an exploit... which it is, but you apparently cant spend 2 seconds to read the original post. Drain is a 3 second channel, and does not last on two people for in upwards of a minute (I can't argue against your statement that you can simultaneously drain multiple targets, since based on the description of the ability it says "target" and "channel" and I've never tried it, so again how do you channel multiple people at the same time? ), its not surprising that since you can't take 2 seconds to read a post, you can't take 2 seconds to read an ability description.

Drain and feed are supposed to share the same CD.


So Nala must have been intoxicated replying to this post. Lets give him a break. Everyone can make atrocious errors when responding to threads intoxicated.

I'm going to take Pixystick's advice and check the combat skills & trees section to see if it's been posted yet, and if not start a new one there. Many AD are now using this on Thorn. Until ZOS says something about it, its another "grey area" more than likely.

Is there any possibility you were being attacked by a Nightblade with Sap Essence rather than a Vampire with Drain Essence?

Sap Essence is an AoE attack, animates by tracing a blood stream from each target to the Nightblade, heals the Nightblade's HP and can be spammed quite a bit with a Warlock/Seducer set combo.
Sap Essence also does not inflict any form of CC.

The whole blood streams from both characters with no stun has me wondering.

Templar (spamming spears while it was active).
