(BUG) No character soundfx, set item bonuses triggering constantly [Partially SOLVED]
When entering Cyrodiil my characters soundfx dissapeared, no sounds from the staf, swinging the axe etc. This bug persisted upon teleporting out of Cyrodiil but was not present before entering Cyrodiil.
Also the set bonuses (5 pieces) is beeing triggered constantly from pretty much any command, like sprinting, calling the horse, getting of the horse, fire ballista etc etc.
Anyone else seeing this?

For the sound issue, we recommend that you run the repair feature on the launcher to see if this helps. To do this, close the game and head to the launcher, click Game Options above the news ticker, and select Repair from the drop down.
For the set bonus issue, which set are you having an issue with? We'll be happy to take a look at that too.0 -

Ye just did a repair so we will see if it fixed it, I did hear some guy tried that though and all seemed fine for starters but after a while the sounds dropped out again.
As for the set it is the Spectre's Eye set, however I am quite certain I saw the effects of the warlock set get triggered at one point aswell.0 -

✭Everytime I repair I have to redownload about 29 gb worth of stuff. Doesn't matter what is broken or if anything is even broken at all. I suspect this is working as intended so be prepared to ignore the game for awhile.Dear Sister, I do not spread rumors, I create them.0 -
Found the fix for the sound bug, or so I believe. Delete the usersettings.txt found in user\documents\eso smthn you know which folder I mean right?
The game will let you reconfigure your settings ingame such as sound volume, brightness etc. Havent had the issue since.
Why? The update somehow corrupted the user settings. Figured this out when I noticed my screen resolution box was empty, and the game refused to save my native resolution every time I put it back.
Edit: Repairing the client or simply restarting it isnt gonna fix the problem, save yourself some time and do what I did.
Hope this works for you guys aswell or I just made a fool of myself.
Doesn't fix the spectre's eye bug though, pls @ZOS_GaryA could you have them release a hotfix for this? Can't be hard and should perhaps have been done on maintenance day instead of skipping it?Edited by james_vestbergb16_ESO on September 21, 2014 8:47AM1 -

Well the sound bug has not come back for me, but I did notice however that the game has yet again started to remove my screen resolution preference. Doesn't do anything but the box in the settings menu is empty. @ZOS_Gary0 -
Sykotical✭✭✭I've had that issue twice today with one of my characters, but not the other. No sound for footsteps, light/heavy attacks, and /emotes. No word on the bug report.
Disabling addons, /reloadui, and relogging didn't work.
Exiting the game did. It doesn't happen everytime, but I just restart the client for now.Son Azoth | Breton Nightblade
