It's funny that people have so much butthurt that they have to whine and cry and point fingers on here though.
No AP trading involved. I capped a resource at Roe and out came the AD defenders. 6-8 of them. I managed to wipe them twice for decent ap and then got a defense tick.
When you get on a roll and get steady solo kills it racks up fast.
I formed a 12 man group today and we were fighting off the emperor group who also had about 12. We fought for a solid five hours or so. Blood and sweat for every keep we took.
We took five keeps (glade and four inner) then the emp group quickly grabbed one back. 3/6 for emp keeps and it was fun and competitive.
Then decibel (AD group) came and we just couldn't take on both the emperor group and an organized guild. And most of us were tired and had to go.
I'm sure by now all our work has been undone and the map is yellow again.
We need more DC!

i walked by and saw an AD player constantly "fighting sypher" and dying near-instantly there. yeah your friend on an AD alt "fighting" you over and over so you could get to the top of the leaderboards the fastest, gj sypher.
Killing the same player gives big diminishing return, I doubt it even happened. It's much faster to solo defend (as sypher did) 800 a kill (on average with no diminishing return) plus defense ticks. It's very possible to get lot's of ap in a short amount of time. I got 150 to 250k in a single day on hopesfire by wiping farmers. Please, stop causing drama.

there was no one on the campaign except for like 10 people and no one could find each other, so sypher had his friend get on an AD alt then feed him AP at a node. yeah and everytime he kills him, he gets a defense tick for about the same AP as he was worth. the diminishing also fades if the ad kills anyone, or he simply waits a little bit. not to mention including defense ticks each person can be worth a little over 3k before they have to wait to be killed again.
ya i would definitely cut out that clip before de'cado got there of you farming your friend on his alt for 5 mins, wouldnt want anyone to see that.

Killing the same player with a long enough time in between actually does not cause diminishing return. Diminishing return actually isn't even a function of who kills that person. It's a function of how recently it was when that person last died. As enough time passes, that person's ap resets to full value.
For example, a person fresh out of a forward camp, usually is worth 0-20 ap if you kill him quickly after he spawns.
I won't elaborate on exact timings for ap value after a respawn, but a single person feeding ap at a resource can easily yield 15k ap in 15 minutes to the person being fed.
So while I don't know for sure what happened, I can confirm that what is being discussed here in terms of feeding ap is 100% possible.

every time you kill a player, the AP you get from them decreases, to the point where it does actually go down to zero. stop making false claims.

mmm - actually you can - though trying to do so on an active server would be futile
in a quieter campaign, and i'll use the old Skullcrusher one as an example, there was a character on our AD side that could farm 270,000AP a day easily in a campaign where at that point nobody else was making over 20k/day because it was dead and literally not so much as a single resource flipped in that period of time

Of course it's possible if you get enough people. The time frame in which I am accused of "trading AP" is a small 15-20 minute time frame in which I jumped from ~35K AP to ~50K AP. The person accusing me of doing this claims I did it with 1 level 25 AD... Even with 3 v12's who were willing to let me kill them, 15k in 15 minutes isn't possible.
Now you see how stupid that sounds. In order to get 15K AP in 15 minutes you would need to kill 6-8 People at a defended resource alone. (Which I did)
I can understand why some people looking at the score at the time automatically assume it is cheating. Not a lot of people can PvP solo and not a lot of people know how take down groups in a timely efficient manner.
I'm actually working on a video right now of me gaining close to 30K AP in 10 minutes on Azurah's Star against a 15-20 person AD group. Just to show you my perspective of how much AP is possible with a little luck and skill.

ah - so i'm 100% clear on this - i wasn't accusing YOU of it - i wasn't there - in fact have rarely run into you i think - am just saying that those who claim it's not possible are mistaken if they think that players in general can't successfully farm AP in this manner, particularly on a quieter campaign

no worries - posts in mmo pvp forums sometimes have a tendency to derail into nasty flamewars over something that was intentionally intended as a compliment etc but due to poor wording or misinterpretation on one side or the other, makes each person think the other is a small male appendage
wanted to make sure i hadn't worded poorly on my side

Killing the same player gives big diminishing return, I doubt it even happened. It's much faster to solo defend (as sypher did) 800 a kill (on average with no diminishing return) plus defense ticks. Try it out on PTS. It's 100% impossible to get 15k AP with 1-3 people on 15 minutes.

I'm confused. Isn't this the first coming of Azura's Star?

I'm sure by now all our work has been undone and the map is yellow again.

i walked by and saw an AD player constantly "fighting sypher" and dying near-instantly there. yeah your friend on an AD alt "fighting" you over and over so you could get to the top of the leaderboards the fastest, gj sypher.
I understand how the AP system works. But 15k AP is impossible with even 2-3 people in 15 minutes.
Try it out on PTS. It's 100% impossible to get 15k AP with 1-3 people on 15 minutes.
Please prove me wrong about those numbers.
Rofl. I assure you it's possible.
So either you just don't understand the mechanics, or you are feigning ignorance to try to absolve yourself of these accusations. Either way..

I'm not being ignorant to anything. It is impossible to farm 15K AP using 1-3 people in 15 minutes. You might get close with 3 people, but with 1-2.. nope not even close. Let alone doing it with a level 25 who gives you minimal AP.
So please, dazzle me with your elite expertise and understanding of the mechanics of the game. You're making yourself look arrogant.

I don't think it's a good idea to reveal the most efficient way to feed ap on a public forum. That can and will beget more ap feeding.
Like I said, I gave you the benefit of the doubt you had the know-how to have figured it out by now after several months of pvping.

I apologize for not being an expert at farming/trading AP. Maybe you can teach me your ways sometime in the future.
I'm not talking about some vodoo tactics or secrets. We are all talking about AP Defense ticks and defending objectives.

there was no one on the campaign except for like 10 people and no one could find each other, so sypher had his friend get on an AD alt then feed him AP at a node. yeah and everytime he kills him, he gets a defense tick for about the same AP as he was worth. the diminishing also fades if the ad kills anyone, or he simply waits a little bit. not to mention including defense ticks each person can be worth a little over 3k before they have to wait to be killed again.
It's funny how stories get twisted and past down as truth. I guess that's just part of the package that I have.
The sad part is decado was there and he wasn't accusing me of AP farming. He was accusing my friend of being a traitor for NOT attacking me. And then Decado and a few players started trying to kill me and I killed them multiple times which gave me a big D tick.
Good thing I have it recorded and it will most likes be in my next 1vX video. Assuming it makes the cut, I wouldn't consider killing Decado and his crew 'decent' footage.

more that many people have claimed to personally see him doing as much (and his denial of it), that seems to be the problem. one person seeing it - meh, 2 - ok, 3- possibly a problem (3 people just from the forums, most don't come here). the background of farming on celarus, and the admittance of cross-faction friends present does not help his case either. were we using preponderance of the evidence, he would more than likely be guilty. case adjourned. as per the law of zos, you shall be convicted w/o investigation but given the right to appeal, which may or may not be looked at after a few days of lost game time.xsorusb14_ESO wrote: »What I find funny is, there is a virtual sea of people who got Emperor in this game using shady methods....But god forbid Sypher gets it...He obviously cheated (that's sarcasm) as he would never be able to get 20k points really fast.
