Is it just me, or are the rewards in Upper Craglorn really really bad?

I have been spending time in Upper Craglorn with a few folks and without fail, we have been really surprised at the poor drops and exp rewards. Quests give an xp/vp completion reward that is a fraction of what you would get in original Craglorn, boss rewards are often a single green item (yay! another shadowhide bracers of stamina and nothing else! it was so worth dying 3 times and racking up that repair bill). When we do get a set item, it is strange that everyone in the group will get the same item... It just seems that maybe the rewards/drops are not what the devs intended and needs a look.
Anyone else noticing the same thing?
I want to explore the area more, and Dragonstar Arena is great fun, but I am not sure that I can keep racking up repair bills when the drops and xp rewards are just not worth it in this area. I will return to safer haunts with drops that are good and you get 3 times the xp.

Thx to Giny, Sarana, Thaili, Derra, Cherahim, Gloy, Raweelz and Drimacus, you make the game worth playing even with AoE-caps, no usefull progression past Assault / Support Rank 10, and with PvP being not even close to balanced.
