Race Motifs Forging Skill Idea

I was just thinking that it would be more fun for the developers to create quests built around finding the various Race Motifs for forging armor and weapons than running all over looking in the various containers in the hopes that you happen upon one. It would certainly be less frustrating if obtaining the motifs were an adventure.

Not a bad idea at all.
They could have the quests start at different levels kind of like the main story-line.
Maybe save the rare ones for level 50++

That is definitely a sound idea, having the motifs attainable at different levels kind of like the various motifs unlocking in Skyrim at different levels of the forging skills itself.

I am indeed missing those type of hard quests. Even if it was crazy "gather 500 nightwood, 500 voidsteel, 500 voidbloom and 500...."

It would still give you something to work toward and gurantee the motif at the end.

Current system only forces you to buy those items from people who keep relogging for hours to farm them

I was thinking the quests could be like retrieval quests similar to the quest in Skyrim Dragonborn DLC to unlock the abilility to forge Stahlrim equipment and gear. Like have an appropriate Blacksmith give you the quest to retrieve the motif from bandits, goblins, etc. that stole the motifs from him/her. It would be much more fun to have an objective than to just search through houses for hours upon end and hope to find one. I'm sure the developers could have fun dreaming up the quests for us.
