Where's the suggestion box?

There should be a section for suggestions to making the game better. Idk why ZoS doesn't have one, but I guess it's par for the course with all the bugs after each patch.

So anyway,
I'm not going to search through all the posts in order to see if my ideas have been mentioned in some other thread/post/form. Who has that kind of time! lol I'm sure much of it has been covered. (Hmm maybe I wouldn't have to make a thread in "General" if a forum EXISTED for this kind of thing!)

#1 Re-make the UI. Seriously. It's an abomination for PC users. If we're not going to be playing with console users, then why on earth make a UI that mostly caters to them? If we are supposed to play alongside them, then I know I'll be leaving this game. I tried that with FF14 and it was horrible. You could easily see who was playing on console. Plus, console players usually don't have an easy way to communicate.

#1a I play a DK and we have soo many great tools to use. But you limit us so much by having to swap bars, only 4 attacks and one ultimate. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in an MMO. We should be able to have ALL our skills availiable at any given time. Oh, and without having to use key presses. I wanna return to my natural mouse clicking! (yes I know, I play weird. but it works very well for me)

#2 A mini Map. For the love of GAWD!! Give us a working mini-map. This whole thing with having to open a map every 2 minutes while running through cyrodiil and blocking our view...went the way of the dinosaurs. Anyone recall having to regen mana in Everquest with the spell book open? Yeahhhhh.. Kinda reminds me of that, and even those dev's finally got rid of it too.

So folks, feel free to add in. I'm not going to argue these points with you all. There are very basic MMO Industry standards that ZoS has completely ignored. UI's from EQ2, WoW, and Rift...these should be your examples. Add-on's made by players can't make those kinds of U's. ZoS has to do it.

There's also a suggestions section in the PTS subforum. Don't think there's too much activity there though.

    I'm rather glad they did.

#1 This won't change. The UI code will be shared between console and PC versions. If a change is made, it's simpler to make the change once to deploy to all platforms. Sucks for us PC users... But hey, we'll just have to deal with it.

#1a This design may be susceptible to opinion. But even given your opinion, it's reliant upon point #1.

#2 You can get a mini-map with an addon. When ESO began development, the entire gaming community clamored for a robust Addon/Mod framework. So while some may say "We shouldn't have to rely on addons", that's actually a result of the gaming community getting exactly what they asked for. Personally, I like that many UI elements are outsourced to addons. I can tweak my UI as needed without having to rely on ZOS to push out a patch addressing my preferences, and even then it's dependant on ZOS actually deciding to make the change.

/feedback is probably a better way to get your suggestions seen. though thank god these very basic UI components, per your example, were ignored. I was watching my boyfriend play Rift recently and it was almost entirely UI. He wouldn't have been able to enjoy the graphics, I mean in a scenario where they didn't suck.

As for the mini-map - I found one on esoui.com called ZRMM. Nice customizable mini -map I now cant live without. Try it - you'll like it!

I personally like using add-ons - I can pick and choose the add-on I want and personalize my game play. Otherwise I'm forced to use what is designed into the game and there would always be griefing about whatever they implement anyway. So I like it the way it is.
