Just curious, what do you consider cheating? I can't keep track with people on this forum. Apparently everything is an exploit or cheating even when its completely valid, not bannable, not prevented by TOS, etc. At this point there are people saying using impulse is exploiting.... (note I am a healer so no impulse)
We were suspicious when you jumped 20K AP in 15 minutes. Made no accusations - but at that point we were not going to flip the last emp keep. We capped a scroll - and went back to Thorn for PvP. I hate PvDoor - we were kinda hoping this could have been DB 3.0 but it did not look like anyone was going to try it out.
Then..we caught wind of some kind of AP trading going on...and said - yeah let's go to Thorn.
It's funny that people have so much butthurt that they have to whine and cry and point fingers on here though.

1.A "buff" server occurs when one faction stacks heavily in a particular campaign and the other 2 have little to no players, so all the keeps/resources/scrolls remain under their control 24/7. This grants certain buffs to all players homed there (e.g. health, spell crit, etc.), who may do so and then go play on a more populated server with no penalty. As such, there is little reason not to be homed on a buff server (unless you want to be emperor), so most people are.dsoegiartob16_ESO wrote: »I got 2 n00b questions.

2. From "defense ticks" (not to say you can't in other ways, but this is the alleged and probably fastest method). When you kill players on an owned resource/keep, you get a defense tick proportional to how many enemies died and inversely proportional to how many allies are present. For example, I've killed a very bad group of 20 or so players on a resource by myself, and received around a 10k defense tick - so 10k+ AP in less then 2 minutes.

That's awesome information. Thanks.
But a few thoughts pop-up immediately:
1. But if you're homed on one of these buff server, if you play at your GUEST server, you don't get the AP or something, right? Like, there's no progress or something? What's the point in that then? Also, what if the other 2 factions also mass-migrate to the buff server, that would solve the problem, yes?
2. Yikes, that's why one the very rare occasion I kill people in EP keep I get a lot of AP....
So how exactly does the tick works? Every minute tick, or per kill tick?
Oh how i love volcanic rune in moments like those hehe
Going out of your way to pick some fights it seems decado.

1. You still get ap towards your overall alliance rank. Just no ap towards the leaderboard for emperorship on that campaign.
2. I'm fairly certain nobody was talking about legitimate ap gains through defensive ticks, since others above cited exact situations in which they saw sypher and other legends members from other factions feeding kills to him on a resource. In this case, it's massive ap as he gets the ap for the initial kill, plus the ap for a solo defensive tick. Defensive ticks are split with whoever is present on the resource or keep, so more allied people means less ap.
Also, I've personally seen sypher get fed ap at a resource before, and someone claimed to see him getting fed and when he pm'd the feeder the guy said they were practicing duels on a level 20? Rofl, it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce exactly what's going on.
When it smells like sh't. Looks like sh't. I wouldn't try tasting it, because it probably is sh't.

I'm confused. Isn't this the first coming of Azura's Star?

That's the motto I use when deciding whether to join a PvP guild or not, hasn't failed me so far.
Given your history, I wouldn't be the one trying to point fingers blindly.
Edit: I wasn't dueling on Azurah. I was holding a resource against 8-10 AD players. ONE of them was my friend on his AD alt. He didn't intentionally feed me AP. On top of that, the amount of AP I got at that farm was minimal compared to the total I have on the campaign right now and had no effect on whether I got emp or not.

No AP trading involved. I capped a resource at Roe and out came the AD defenders. 6-8 of them. I managed to wipe them twice for decent ap and then got a defense tick.
When you get on a roll and get steady solo kills it racks up fast.
I formed a 12 man group today and we were fighting off the emperor group who also had about 12. We fought for a solid five hours or so. Blood and sweat for every keep we took.
We took five keeps (glade and four inner) then the emp group quickly grabbed one back. 3/6 for emp keeps and it was fun and competitive.
Then decibel (AD group) came and we just couldn't take on both the emperor group and an organized guild. And most of us were tired and had to go.
I'm sure by now all our work has been undone and the map is yellow again.
We need more DC!
P.S still no sign of EP

i walked by and saw an AD player constantly "fighting sypher" and dying near-instantly there. yeah your friend on an AD alt "fighting" you over and over so you could get to the top of the leaderboards the fastest, gj sypher.
