Guild Reputation?

I keep seeing various patch notes through the history of ESO saying things about "Fixed an issue where you recieve incorrect amounts of guild reputaion when you unlocked an achievement". My question is, what is this "guild reputation"? Do they mean Mage/Fighters/Undaunted? I've never noticed any of them going up from gaining an achievement, just from their respective lore books/daedra or undead slaying/group dungeon exploration. If they mean player guilds, what is this reputation and where can I see it?

There is no player guild reputation.

You get Undaunted exp for completing group dungeon achievements. Possibly also Fighters Guild exp for anchor achievements? I'm not sure about this one though.

Ummm, while I appreciate the reply, I established in my original post that I understood this quite clearly...I am asking what the "guild reputation" which is referenced in this week's and other patch notes.

This is the part I answered to. Undaunted goes up with achievements. Since there is no player guild reputation, I assume that's what the patch notes refer to. I don't know what exactly the bug was about, though.

Probably that guild rep for fighters guild & co. wasn't calculated correctly.

It's not "reputation" it's just skill levels. Why they keep calling it reputation is beyond me. It'd be one thing if they actually had a reputation system in this game, but they don't so they need to stop using the word.

There is only one guild that gains skill levels from achievements and that's undaunted, so it's clear what they were talking about in the patch notes.

Fighter's guild and mages guild wasn't gained through achievements, they were gained through finding lore books (mage) and killing undead/daedric (fighter)

The bug was you weren't gaining the correct amount of experience towards the undaunted skill line when you completed a dungeon achievement. Every dungeon achievement awards you a certain amount of undaunted experience and according to the patch notes, they fixed the amount. Because I recall sitting at rank 3 for the longest time despite doing quite a bit of dungeon running, so I hope it's retroactive.

Sigh...it doesn't go up "with achievements", it goes up side-by-side with them...the achievement doesn't cause the increase, rather the achievement and the increase occur when you complete certain acts. But whatever, I did make it clear that I understood the method of those guilds going up...I am asking what the patch note meant by guild reputation. Hoping that ZOS_Jessica or ZOS_GinaBruno or one of the others will kindly give an official answer

Hey there, @seanolan. Guild reputation is the experience you get when leveling up your NPC guild skill lines.

You can earn guild reputation in different ways for each of the NPC guilds. For the Undaunted, you'll earn guild reputation through doing things like defeating dungeon bosses and completing dungeon achievements. To earn it for the Fighter's Guild, you'll have to defeat undead and Daedra across Tamriel, as well as take down dark anchors. And to be a reputable member of the Mage's Guild, you'll need to read lore books.

Thanks ZOS_TristanK....still confused what achievements should have given guild rep, but perhaps as Rosveen was saying, you all meant the undaunted skill line's guild rep.
