If we just get basic housing, then special adds later, all they need to do is add a portal somewhere that would be an "Solo instance". much like going into the harborage or other solo instances. Go in the portal.. and it takes you to your house.. easy LOL. Add in a "housing merchant" that could sell things like chests, armor stands, furniture, and other stuff that we might "need". Another great idea would be to have different race merchants. This would allow you to finally get your argonian rug or that elusive nord bear skin blanket for your bed.. Another kicker... housing could be based on race.. your "house" would represent your race.
Player yes, guild doesn't seem to really make sense in my opinion.
Most people play without a guild so that investing in that Feature seems a bit less important. That said, not many people raid and still every content update has a new one so ...

Is that the one that looks like a Chinese knockoff of Final Fantasy but with a REALLY in-depth character creation system?

When dealing with a megaserver, as we do, the use of terms like "not many" when used in conjunction with "people utilize guilds" or "even raid", are likely to be WOEFULLY inaccurate.
There are MORE than enough people participating in "raids" to justify the addition of group content, again and again and again and again.
Even more yet that take part in utilizing the guild functionality of the game.
What you stated is akin to "Not that many people eat burritos so....meh"
Its not inaccurate at all, its a proven point that the amount of raiders is less than 10% and I would assume that those who are in an active guild membership are maybe 30-40%.
If you now do the math than you get the answer for your wrong assumption
I understand that raiders and hardcore gamers believe they are a majority but this isn't the truth I am sorry
Besides that, player housing is accessible for everyone. Guild housing wont so the discussion what matters more is not even worth a discussion as its a clear fact which everyone should be able to see.
In the end ZO will decide what's coming and not you or me. That said they are pretty much aware that catering to a minority like in the earlier updates until 5 wont last forever. A lot of people are angry about the one sided content so far and while Blizz is able to survive with that mentality I doubt ZO could.
Adding content for everyone to use sounds more plausible than content for small groups.
I'd love guild housing to be like Guild Wars 1. Your guild has a big arena, and you can battle other guilds in your/their arena.
