Can someone explain the werewolf to me?

I really don't get the werewolf skill line.
  • The werewolf I transform into is weaker than my character (it deals less damage and is easier to kill).
  • I need to spend 5-10 skill points to make the werewolf at least somewhat useful.
  • The ultimate is extremely expensive.
  • I have a general weakness to poison.

So I waste extra skill points to get a super expensive crappy ultimate that weakens my character and on top of that I get a constant weakness to poison.

What is the use of this? What am I not seeing here?

You're not missing much, which is why werewolves are getting a pretty significant bump in one of the next few updates.

The werewolf is a shy, timid beast, better known for it's sweet midnight howling than it's combat prowess. These graceful, majestic creatures can be found around Tamriel, RP'ing the beast-within, running from groups of enemies, desperately trying to finish opponents before their transformation timer runs dry and swapping fur styling tips.

Should one encounter a werewolf, in the wild or tucked into a bed, it would be wise to finish it promptly, at least before it returns to its native form which represents an actual threat.

You can help a werewolf for life. Your donation of 25 gold will help clothe and feed a werewolf while they are trained to give up their RP ways and embrace the cold harsh reality that, in their current state, any other option is almost always more of a threat in PvP and provides a greater contribution in PvE.

Thank you. May the Wolf be with You.

What's with all the hate guys? I spend quite some time on these forums and I search before I post.

I knew the werewolf was underpowered, but before trying it out I didn't know how much. That's why I made the post. I expected the ww to be less powerful than the vampire, but I did not expect the werewolf to be less powerful than my character, it's an ultimate after all. So my initial thought was that I was using it in a wrong way and wanted to see if someone had some insights on this.

If a post doesn't interest you please ignore it in the future rather than insulting the poster, do you think you can do that?
